over the hill at 31 Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Okay... so i'm really new at this and heard about this from a friend who said it helped her. This situation is not, of course THAT important, but it's on my mind and would like some advice. The situation: was in an abusive relationship for 2+ years. Finally ended with me getting a restraining order. Have since met this nice, simple guy through friends. Turns out that I like him... but here's the rub: When we text/ talk, I'm usually the one to initiate. This last time, on Monday, we were in the middle of a conversation when his phone died. Since then, no return call or text. Nothing. Feeling like he's probably not interested, as I would think he'd get back to me, right? Granted, he is a simple guy who lives in the mountains, but I just feel it's rude not to finish a conversation when it gets cut off. Gfs say not to contact him till he does it first. right? Also, found out that he was in love with someone for three years who committed suicide. Yikes.
whichwayisup Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Could you ask one of your friends if they know what's going on? Chances are, since he hasn't contacted you since his phone died, he may not be interested - OR, he isn't ready for anything serious..How long ago did his gf commit suicide?
westrock Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 This last time, on Monday, we were in the middle of a conversation when his phone died. Is it possible that maybe the connection was dropped for some reason other than his phone and he thought that you hung up on him? I think it would be okay to call him up just to say hi.
JooLee Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 wow.. think you gotta take a real slow process with this guy. get to know the person first before you decide to entertain your "feelings" more.
