Ever met someone online that actually looked better than their pic? True story. Met this woman, she only had ONE photo of her. 1. She was wearing sunglasses. 2. She was kneeling, so you couldn't really see her body. 3. She had a baggy sweater on, so you couldn't really see her figure. 4. The photo was rather grainy. I decided to take the gamble...and OOH boy When I saw her.....my jaw about DROPPED! 1. She had her sunglasses on her head......she was a PLATINUM blonde (she looked like a dirty blonde in the pic....remember...grainy pic 2. The most gorgeous big blue eyes I'd ever seen! Turned out most of her family background was swedish 3. Nice luscious lips. 4. FINALLY...(Drumroll) Remember I said that she wore a really baggy sweater in the photo......OMGSH! She was wearing a tight fighting slinky pink blouse....she must've had at least DD boobs! She was wearing something snug for out date. Wow, I couldn't believe it Anyone else been so pleasantly suprised?

Thing is, though, their pix were just fine (attractive, etc.). But when I saw them in person...sweet God...oh yeah. Plus in real life there are all sorts of other physical components that come into play that you can't see in the pix: they way they move, a cute quirky smile or whatever...mmhmm. OK, now I'm just rambling down memory lane. Short answer: YES! And it was a welcome surprise.
carhill Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 IME, nearly every woman I've met looked "better" in person, if only because the camera didn't love them. My wife is the rare exception. The camera loves her, even on a bad day. Some people are just photogenic. I'm surely not

Many women have commented on how much better I look IRL than in my pictures.. I have met women better looking IRL than in their pictures.. most of them... My wife looked great in her profiles.. but hot in real life.. She did have one of those subliminal pictures taken from the up angle while she was kneeling.. looking down on her only showing the shoulders up .. that was hot.

The camera absolutely hates me. Even the photo I have on here I hate. Then again I think we're all a little harder on ourselves than others are.

Most of the guys I've met from online tho, unfortunately, look not as good I have to admit, I think the body piece does work in my favor. I don't have any real body shots in my profile for that reason; you gotta leave something up to surprise!

I think body shots help as long as you're not revealing everything.
