Vegas Baby Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 I've known this guy for awhile (Andy), I've actually been friends with his cousin who are also good friends with each other, so I've talked to his cousin more than him. Anyway, I've always had kind of like a secret crush on Andy but never talked to him as much as his cousin. Well just recently Andy started talking and texting me which has kinda intrigued me even more. Though he talks more about hooking up w/me but I've kinda thought in the past that he liked me by the way he acted jealous around his cousin when me & his cousin hung out. WELL tonight he texted me asking what I was doing tonight, kinda late (10:30ish) to do anything so I was wondering what his intentions were, I told him I probably wasn't going to do anything and just chill at home. So I asked him what his plans were for the rest of the week & he said he had a date on friday then after that he didn't know. I thought to myself what?? So I texted him back "a date? oh ok." he wrote back "what does that mean?" I wrote back "oh just wonderin...." he wrote back "oh" sooooooo was he trying to see what I'd say back or what? What should've I had said since I kinda like him? Does he not like me or what? Opinions please!? It might be because he might think I like his cousin, and said that to see what kind of reaction I'd give him to see if I like HIM or what? I don't get it.
jen's mind Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 Please forgive my generational ignorance, but how do people base anything on text messages? What ever happened to picking up the phone? It's so easy to misinterpret a text message, why would you even go there? If you want something real, try starting out with some real communication.

Your post doesn't suggest that he's shown any real interest in you. You've interpreted some of his actions as jealousy (about you with his cousin), but your interpretation could be inaccurate ~ the guy could have had something totally different on his mind that made him act however he acted. There doesn't seem anything, really, to "get" or to be confused about.
