complication Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Ex broke up with me 3.5 weeks ago for no reason, "lost feelings". No direct contact in 3.5 weeks, then she was randomly overly friendly with me and then texted me the next day. I ask her to ice cream, and I gave her a call about it. She made other plans w/ roomie, I asked her what her intentions were, she said "to be friends". I said "i don't want to be friends". I tell her to give me a call when she got back to campus, and did. We went out, had a great time. She asked me what I've been up to and I said "having fun" and she asked about a date I went on and I said "yeah it was fun" and she made a joke about how the girl is into vampiricism so she's my type. I tell her that she's not my type. My ex said she's confused as to why she texted me. After she asked me about my date, she randomly brings up how she has seen a guy here and there - but she lied, she said she was going out that night but never did. At the end of our little "ice cream" thing she tahnked me for a great night. What the hell is going on? She goes out knowing I don't want to be friends, admits to being confused as to why she texted me, and she first asks about my date and then randomly throws out that she's hung out with a guy or 2 - i didn't react to it to her surprise. Oh, and she said she got her nipple pierced, asked if I wanted to see, then laughed and said she was kidding. Pretty flirty.

She goes out knowing I don't want to be friends, My guess is that she went by your actions...YOU asked her out for ice cream knowing that she wants to be friends, and FRIENDS do invite other friends out for ice cream. So, it would be totally reasonable for her to have concluded, from your own actions, that you have changed your mind and are now perfectly happy to be her friend ~ that is what you demonstrated to her, after all.

Not sure about her reasoning for lieing to you but usually when they appear to be busy it means they don't want to spend time with you. as about the randomly asking about your date n randomly throwing out she went on a date or two it means she's telling you she's seeing other people and she feels good in telling you because your doing the same thing.
