WTF kind of symbol are they?

Getting them always makes me so sad. Inevitably I am watching them die.

I hate coming home every night to see them more withered. I hate wondering if I should have watered them more, cut the ends of the stems off, etc. I hate feeling like I should have stayed home to spend more time with them, in their last days, while they're still so pretty.

What do you guys do with your withered flowers?

One time I chopped off all the heads to make potpourri. But that made me feel so violent.

It's a symbol of blooming love. And, for love to persist, and continue to blossom, you need to tend the roots. What sort of fertiliser do you use on your relationship? If you prune early, and viciously, it can give you a better result in the long run.

Try to live in the moment, and don't always focus on where your flowers are going. You are a bud that is opening, and will share the same fate, albeit in greatly protracted glory.

I change the water, feed and trim them daily until they die.

If they're roses and you hang them upside down and let them dry, they don't turn out too badly. But then, what do you do with dried roses? Just more clutter to collect dust.

I adore flowers.

I used to say I did not like flowers for that reason - even once or twice asked peple to buy me a pot plant rather than flowers so I did not have to watch them die.

so guess what, my ex just stopped cos I did not appreciate them.

My SO now does give me flowers ( he is unaware how I used to feel ). Now I love them .

I have learned to live for the moment, be grateful that someone cares about me to give them to me. I know that everything living will someday die and it is our job to appreciate what we have .

Forgot to say sometimes the pot plants died on me.

and I compost the dead flowers so they continue in the cycle of life through my garden

Different color roses and different flowers show different symbols.

What do I do with the withered flowers? I don't get flowers, I give them. :)

Chopping heads... :eek::eek:

To me it's always meant that the man is willing to frivolously waste so much money on something so fleeting... just to deliver beauty to my day. It gets me every time!:love: And he always enjoys the "aftermath" of appreciation, if you catch my drift.;) It's a win-win, hit to his wallet notwithstanding.

I love getting flowers! Not many men do this anymore, and it's such a sweet, kind, romantic thing to do. I don't care if they die, that's not he point. The point is that the guy cares enough to give such a symbolic present

Yah but wtf is it symbolic of? His willingness to throw away money?

These flowers I have are so beautiful but I am dreading watching them wither.

I don't like gifts in the first place but I think flowers are the saddest gift to receive.
