winx717 Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 Ok, I am going to copy/paste a copy of the email i sent to him yesterday. I haven't gotten a response yet, because he was already gone from work last night and it is early here and he won't be into work for another hour or so... So, you never told me if you liked your muffins or not… another one of my group efforts! I guess you get to be one of the group! I didn’t want to bother you in your office, so I got your email address from Amy, hoping that it would be more comfortable to talk to you in this manner. I hope you don’t mind, and if you do, just tell me… but I promise not to bother you with stupid forwards! So, I understand that you aren’t interested in a relationship or anything of the sort right now. I completely understand, and am in the same boat. However, while a little apprehensive, I would like to ask if you’re in the market for a potential new friend. I just have to be honest with you and say that I am for some reason intrigued by you. This is NOT something I have ever done before, and I feel a little ashamed of myself for acting this way, but I am just going to get it out there. Would you possibly be interested in hanging out with me sometime? Not like a date, but more like a get to know you sort of thing. I am sure this is a lot for you to take in, what with practically being bombarded over the past couple of weeks, but I like you and that’s that. I hope to talk with you soon, and I really do hope you liked the muffins! ... so, any comments? I wonder if it's too cheesy. He's kind of a dork, but i like that about him I said 'hang out with me' because i was worried that go out or get dinner would sound too much like a date atmosphere. Wish me luck! I will give another update later. Hopefully it will be a good response. I am so nervous I am getting sick to my stomach! LOL
JooLee Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 you should have made it short and witty. it always catches the attention that way. too long (like yours) and it gets pretty.... freaky. in my case. well goood luck to u!
jen's mind Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 I agree with JooLee. By keeping it short, you keep it light. The longer it is, the more obvious it is to him that you're overthinking.
Author winx717 Posted September 15, 2008 Author Posted September 15, 2008 well then... it's fortunate that it was filtered out of his email, because he never got it! Whew! i guess i should consult before i hit send! Thank you for your comments!
