LOL Since more women and men are together in the work place, often times it leads to a more emotional relationship, than just sex. Men still primarily cheat just for sex. And more women might have sex, just to have sex..Still not nearly at the same amount as men, nor does it say that.. Nice try though.

What is your goal in constantly posting these negative "facts" about men who can't keep it in their pants? What do you want us women to do? Sit around and weep about it... and then meekly submit to whatever man wants to "do" us because that's all we can hope for?? Or maybe there's something about this thread that deeply disturbs you. It does, after all, fly in the face of men having complete control over their women, and being able to satisfy them. Apparently (gasp!) it isn't true sometimes. Is that what's bothering you? Is that why you are so hell-bent on driving your point home about men cheating for physical reasons?

On lower levels, men with more options also sleep with more women. It is VERY hard for men to pass up sex that is thrown at them day and night. Married, dating, or completely single. IT IS DIFFICULT FOR MEN TO PASS ON SEX. And this argument is just as weak because not all men are athletes, rockstars or lawyers/doctors the majority of men that have average jobs with average lives. Just as the majority of people we refer to in these types of convesations are not people that are dating rockstars or athletes. Furthermore, rockstars and athletes date models and actresses and these women have just as many options as men so really it boils down to what they are like in terms of their own needs and character. The average person dates another average person and has an average career with other average people of the opposite sex that have the EXACT same amount of opportunities as themselves. Why women cheat is still the same reason as men, because they choose to its because they are weak and cross a line they should not. Singlelife, surround yourself with solid people and just aim to have a good relationship one that is based on respect and admiration and love, one where both the emotional and physical aspects are being met on both sides and there is no reason for a woman OR a man to cheat. Opportunitites are around us all the time and it doesn't matter what gender we are or how good looking we are. When a man is happy and feels content in a relationship he has no reason to try out another woman on for size, even if she throws herself at him and it's even moreso like that for women. The least attractive man I ever went out with, who also happened to be the most insecure man overprotective and extremely jealous and possesive was the ONE man that cheated on me. The best looking guy, most successful careerwise who had women even flirting with him right infront of my face was the MOST devoted guy of all and in the long time we were together I trust 100% he never cheated on me. It boils down to character.

Now I know we are in a politically correct age, when me must say all men and women are the same, but i do not believe it to be true. Tomcat, why don't you pay for men on dates, or ask them out? I mean we are all the same in all ways these days. it isn't the 1950's anymore..

Because the types of men I date insist on paying and insist on being the ones taking ME out and treating me 3. Becuse I can Now that doesn't mean that if I were in a long term relationship I would refrain from cheating on ANY of them simply because things worked out as they did. I would refrain from cheating on any of those men because I am NOT WIRED to cheat on someone I love. It is my personal choice and it is one I want to live with completely in tact because that is WHO I am as a person. That's not to say I have not had opportunities because men don't care that a woman is attached, men are just as agressive in getting what they want as women, but I have my personal limits I don't cross when I love someone. End of story really.

Many men might not seek to cheat, but if it is right in their face on a silver platter, it might not be turned down. All women have opportunities. All men do not.

I've done my own personal research on this topic and it seems men cheat mostly for sex because of opportunity. I'm sure there are exceptions, but hey I'm a guy and my married and taken guy friends are all pretty much the same, and if the opportunity were there and they perhaps had to much to drink they would nail a stripper or slut. Many times guys don't think about the consequences when their horny, that's not an excuse it's just how many guys work. Give vonerik012 credit, she seems to harvest some knowledge. Cheers!

From my own perspective, I find singular desires to be more relational and serial desires to be more intrinsic. How is it for women? I think I know what vonerik012 is getting at but perhaps it requires further definition. Of the women I've know who were/are serial cheaters, I sincerely believe it is a feature of their character/personality, not a function of their relational dynamics. For those who have only experienced one such event, with no recurrence, the motivations, to me, appear more unclear. Anyway, back to plumbing
