FLOWERSTARS Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I had a big fall out with a family member recently where I felt that they had done something detrimental to me, in the end I had to concede that I may have been paranoid and then wondered to what extent can what we see happening be skewed. I apologised even though I do not feel that I was in the wrong, I apologised because I may be in which case I have hurt that person. I think I can live with being in the wrong. I wondered though is everything a distortion of reality depending on your viewpoint? Now I am feeling pretty bad for all the things I may have percieved wrongly and upset people over. Then again there are a few long running feuds which I can take responsibility for in my head but still dont feel ready to declare responsibility to the other persons.
nowhereman82 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Reality is how you perceive it to be...so yes it's perspective. Especially in regards to things that can't be seen with the eyes or touched.
Author FLOWERSTARS Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 I suppose what I am trying to understand is, if I can accept that my thinking may be skewed and dont mind admitting being in the wrong (on any level, I have searched), why am I still convinced I am not in the wrong?
nowhereman82 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Because you won't always be in the right and neither will they. If you believe their intent was to be malicious then you are right...if they were not ment to be malicious or became malicious because of your own view point...then yes your feelings might be in the wrong.
Author FLOWERSTARS Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 If a few people consider me to be the person in the wrong, then that must be true, but it isnt how I feel.
