Beee Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 We broke up just under a month and a half ago.... although I have managed to keep busy and go out and be with friends I still miss him terribly and still think about him. We work togther so NC is not really an option (and one I don't really want to go down if possible).... we see eachother at work pretty much every day and exchange emails and have catchups. I know its hard and even harder keeping in touch, but I still miss him and it still hurts not being a big part of his life any more. We send eachother emails and some of them have turned flirty and a little sexual.... I try and force myself to see it as no more than just a fun game (yes a dangerous one at that) but a little part of my hopes there's more to it than just a game.... Is the flame still there? I don't persue it as I'm not sure where it would take me but I'm confused as to whether I should leave it as just fun or read a little more into things.... I know I would not send these emails to an ex I had no interest in.... What do they mean?
CaliGuy Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 They mean he wants to make sure you're still ready and available should he need to call you at 3am for a little stroll between the sheets. What he's doing is mean and I would tell him to knock it off.
nowhereman82 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Don't post the same question in 2 sections at the same time
Author Beee Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 I wasn't sure where it should sit... that's why i posted it here an there... is it against the rules?
BCCA Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I kind of agree with CaliGuy here. It sounds like he is trying to feel out how interested you would be in some casual sex. There isnt so much a flame as there is a desire on his part to have you waiting in the wings. Anyone would like as many options as possible if they were 'in the mood'. I would just brush off anything flirty he says, and I wouldnt even respond unless you had to. Acting flirty/sexual with you has nothing to do with a relationship.
Author Beee Posted September 11, 2008 Author Posted September 11, 2008 Thanks BCCA (and Caliguy) as much as I would like it to mean more... I know deep down that it probably doesn't and that i shoudln't think it does.... I'm torn in half though, part of me wants that intimate connection with him but then I know the other part of me would be hurt when it came to leaving as there wouldn't be anything after that... thanks for the input!
