Once a guy turns down a girl for a date, how does he act around her?

Does he act awkward, try to avoid her or try to continue to be around her?

Does it matter if the guy is shy or not on how he reacts to the the girl after he has turned down the invite?

I'd rather not be around some one who wants to date me if I don't want to date them its anoying

I'd say it depends on the person.

Definitely depends on the person. Personally, I wouldn't act awkward towards the girl. I'm pretty sure the whole situation (and the days thereafter) are already awkward enough for the girl so why make matters worse? If she wants to talk to me about it, sure, I'll be open to talk (privately of course, unless the girl wants an audience to see the drama unfold). And I think it does matter if the guy is shy or not... most likely the shy guy will do either of two things: 1) Avoid her, or 2) Be around her more out of guilt and sympathy for the girl.

If a guy has a set, he'll go about his normal life. Any person with an ounce of maturity and respect would. Just because someone turns down another person for a date doesn't mean it's done for the reason of "I don't like you". It can be a plethora of things...

Timing, family crisis, depression, lack of something in personal life, no job, no career, the list goes on.
