the actor is intriguing. Something about him. Very charismatic, very sexy, even more so off-screen. His presence hits you like a ton of bricks.

He's 6'+, blond-haired, blue-eyed, born a Canadian, tanned, grooved dimples on his cheeks, lean and fit, and is over 35.

Um, TBF how exactly do you intend on keeping up your shield when hit with all of that?? You are a braver woman than I!

:lmao: Holy Dinah! I just caught him in a lie through google. He's not Canadian born, he was born in Cali! What a strange thing to make up. I'm laughing my arse off.

Maybe he was conceived in Canada. There's not much else to do when it's so cold outside.

Maybe he was raised in Canada? I know I wasn't born here but I'm Australian. Sometimes it's just easier to say you were born there so you don't have to go through the whole spiel with a complete stranger. :p

It was such a quick convo but he told me he had family that lived here and I swear he said he was born here. He did say that he lived in both Cali and here so maybe he was confused where he was? That's stretching it though.

I don't think it's a deal-breaker.

I agree. If it is then you're just looking for something wrong...

TBF,

This "little" lie to me is a huge red flag. To me, petty lying is a sign of something seriously wrong in a person's personality. One can somehow "understand" the huge lies. They are usually said for a reason. There is some logic there. But to lie about small things just means something is askew with the person.

I had one guy lie to me about his mother's name! As it turned out, this man had HUGE issues.

I'd be wary.

:p Who knows Nemo. I'll have to get some clarity, next time I see him, if only through bumping into him in the hallway.

Story, it probably is for the best, for the sake of discretion.

PP, I'm uber cautious, as you might have figured out.

CE, who knows why he would have said that. I'm starting to wonder if I misunderstood something but who knows. Actors are strange beasts.

Oh, I don't know. I'm not into talking about my birth much, either. Perhaps because it's the closest I've ever gotten to a woman's vagina.

marlena, I do agree. It's such an odd thing to lie about. It's possible in the...errr...heat of the moment, I misunderstood. I'll have to clarify it for sure.

Trialbyfire's memory isn't what it used to be. Sorry, but that's the honest truth. She was too busy being hit by a ton of pricks to take too much notice of the finer points of the conversation.

Shaddup Nemo! :p

You might have misunderstood in the ...."heat" of the moment. By all means clarify.

Wow, TBF, I haven't been around much, but I'm liking that you are interested in two men.

I think it is okay to call him (the actor) despite the where he was born thing. My opinion is that it is okay to date the actor and the neighbor simultaneously since there has been no "exclusivity" talk with the neighbor. Since you feel the need to disclose to the neighbor, well, that's more than most would do, but certainly playing on a higher ground.

I wish you the best on either or both fronts.

Have you ever been flustered on the inside, brain racing madly away, heart pounding away, while being fairly calm on the outside? That would have been me.

ddl, wow, it's nice to hear from you! Thanks.

But what if the guys hit it off? I wouldn't risk it.

Hi DDL. It is nice to see you after so long. Hope you are healthy and well.

I agree with you on this one. I wouldn't even mention it since it goes without saying that you would both be dating other people since it's only the beginning and nothing serious ...yet.

I am never for disclosing too much. Men like mysterious women!!:D

Dunno. But I'd be leary dating next door neighbor. Too close for comfort. Kinda like the old saying...."don't eat where you poop" thing...

Aren't you spending too much time and energy on this actor guy? Wonder if you'd spend the same amount on some unknown guy...just a thought TBF.

Work with someone who was dating 3 guys at the same time. She told each one of them. In her mind, if guys can do it (which they do anyway), why can't women do the same. May the best candidate win, right? She settled for the best of three. They're still together and talking marriage.

Be careful.

Time and energy, New Sunrise? I didn't know there was a time limit in thinking about someone who's of potential interest. It's not often to never for me, that the heart goes pitter patter over one quick meeting. That he asked me out so quickly, leads me to believe that the attraction was mutual, wouldn't you say?

Thanks unders. I will be careful.

Why wasn't the emergency stop called into play? Missed opportunity right there.

Why does that sound so football or soccer? I don't follow either sport, just hockey, baseball and dating.

Btw, I've had more than one member ask me if it's Denver Guy and no, it's definitely not!

Handle the balls, or just kick them. It's your call.
