smile711 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 I was just wondering if anyone has any stories of a BS taking back a MM and then dumping him. The MM I was having an A with went back to his wife after 4 months of living with me. He originally told her the A was a couple of encounters around Christmas and then confessed (once she took him back into thier home) that the A was over 2 years and he lived with me for those 4 months (not with friends as he had said) and that we went on vacation together for a week during that time (mostly paid for by him!). I think after all the lying and flip-flopping that he has done with both me and his W, he deserves no one. It would be poetic justice if she dumped him on his you know what and HE knew what it felt like to be alone, as both she and I have had to deal with lately. Any stories of a perfect revenge like that would really help me get through the day!
aloneatnights Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 just happened to me with a casual relationship. i said dont get serious etc and he dumped me to get back with his ex so i backed off completely. only talked when he contacted me and only as a friend. anyhoo he just got dumped by the ex and is practically begging me to be with him but i cant. promised myself second best isnt good enough any more and if someone wants me, they have to prove it. i refuse to be someone's fall guy or rebound
Curmudgeon Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Any stories of a perfect revenge like that would really help me get through the day! ...be careful what you wish for! I trust the karma train. The ex cheated, married him and a few years later he was killed in a car accident. She alienated my children and now, 14 years later, my wife and I have great relationships with all of them and my grandchildren and she has none. Last but not least, she was run over crossing a street fairly recently. She survived and has a settlement but not that great and she has little else. Most of all, she has no family who really want anything to do with her. Living well and being loved by those who count continues to be the best revenge.
NoIDidn't Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 When so-called Karma shows up, its really all in the eye of the beholder. I don't think revenge and poetic justice are one in the same. I refuse to gloat about the fact that after I outed my H's co-worker's EA with my H to her live-in boyfriend that he dumped her. I thought he owed her the chance to prove what she said "it was only a kiss". I mean that. I figured I was giving my H another chance, he should do the same. But I think he was cheating on her too and looking for a good excuse to leave her and then she gave it to him. I don't think it was poetic justice when the woman my ex chose to marry decided to cheat on him (too, mind you LOL). It was sad that she chose to cheat instead of leave to get back at him. They are now divorced and he acts like he was a victim. Justice would have been not even giving him the option to make a claim of being a victim of her cheating. I guess I just don't think that a person being dumped is poetic justice. It just seems vengeful and rash. Leaving a marriage should take some thoughtful consideration, not knee-jerk running away. However, I do think that the W of a man that lied for four months about where he was living has already had enough time to think about it.
Curmudgeon Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I don't think revenge and poetic justice are one in the same. Nor do I. It just happened that the two coincided. Once I knew she had and had been with someone else I no longer wanted her. That was NOT a knee-jerk reaction. That was my reality, and hers. Since then her life has spiralled down and mine has gotten better. Call it whatever you wish. Fourteen years ago I made the right decision!
underpants Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Poetic justice is one of my favorite emotions. Right after laughter through tears. I have several stories. It is best enjoyed when that switch has long turned off and you are safe on the sidelines. In my case, a time or two. Not even in the stadium, nor rooting for either team.

No, but I did this to my wife...in fact, her worldly possessions are soaked and packed in crates, sitting in the frontyard. I don't know...once I had discovered that I'd been betrayed, things were never were the same. I even attempted to reconsile, but I never got past the fact that she was an unfaithful whore who deserved her pathetic excuse for OM.
soda Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Mr. Messy is with alone:D And he should be. He got what he deserves...loyalty from nobody.
OWoman Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I don't think revenge and poetic justice are one in the same. Agreed. Revenge is a conscious act, while poetic justice can happen leaving the aggrieved with clean hands. Slightly on-topic, an example of poetic justice would be MM's BW, who was the CS in her first M. MM was her (unwittting) OM - he found out she was M when her H arrived at his house and threatened him. He was a mere child, and backed off but then later W dumped H and took up with MM. So any accusations she levels at MM now ring just a little hollow...
Owl Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 I'd suggest not worrying about MM anymore. Stop giving any energy to what may be going on in his life...he's not your worry any longer. Instead, focus on YOU.
