Crestfallen_KH Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Ha! I bought the garter with the hose recently - very sexy, I must say. Nah, the legs are only maybe 5 feet of me. I'm genetically blessed in that I'm not very hairy, at all. My arms have no hair (well, short, blonde hair that isn't visible), I only have to wax the brows once a month and I've never had to shave above the leg. So, I'm pretty limited down there as it is. I just make sure it doesn't get too long, "tuft," as you say, and that it's clean. But no, I've never waxed, used Neet or shaved down there and I've had no complaints. Honestly, I think we women do all of this primping not for men, but for other women. We want to be the "hot woman at the party" but most guys like a girl when she's just rolled out of bed in the morning, no makeup, etc. I've never had a guy kick me out of bed because I've waited too long to wax the legs!

Hmmm. I can't say that I keep my hoo-ha almost bare for the ladies...
rod_in_gtown Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 What if things get frisky after the wedding.... I'm not going to get undressed and show off my slim-shady-shaper!!! D-Lish, if I was about to get frisky with you, I wouldn't care if you were wearing granny-panties or mom jeans. But it would be 10x hotter if I fet you had next to nothing underneath the dress.
rod_in_gtown Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 All this talk of fingering under the table, and smooth waxing and a-thing is making me very hot and bothered.
Crestfallen_KH Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Hmmm. I can't say that I keep my hoo-ha almost bare for the ladies... Well, no, not the hoo-ha. But I don't think it's really done for the guy, either. I think that's something a gal does for herself. I mean, I get my nails done but that's for me because I'd chew them to the quick otherwise.
djhall Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 You could tell him it's... a gun holster. You know, I actually like this idea. Nothing says danger and mystery quite like a beautiful woman in a sexy dress who is packing heat!
KinAZ Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Agreed... I banned hose a long time ago- even in winter. And there is no 70's bush happening here JB...lol. I got used to doing the full "everything gone waxing torture" when I was actively shooting. That entailed getting up on the table in a very embarrassing submissive pose. Sometimes I look down and think "Oh my god I am a 10 year old girl"... lol... well, if you think that a shaper is better than hose then more power to you. Whatever floats your boat and gets the job done, I guess. But if you're honestly worried about "shaping" and don't want the guy to feel anything... lol it's just funny to me, at least, that you'd rather wear a shaper instead of pantyhose. I would never wear a shaper for the exact reason you've mentioned here. Pantyhose on the other hand, I have worn on occasion. While I don't like them at all, they can help out without giving a.... "girdle" feel when wearing certain things. I'm sure there are thinner things on the market these days (unlike the things our mothers fasten themselves into), but the charm of pantyhose is that only you know why you're wearing them. And, in my mind at least, if a guy sees them on the legs there's no surprise that they're up top as well. Back in the 90s I always wore BIKING SHORTS under my dresses so no one could see up my skirt when I went up the stairs in school. One day, this guy put his hand on my thigh while watching a movie in class.... felt the biking shorts......... snapped them... and left me alone after that. I didn't even stop him simply because I knew I was protected by the mighty shorts. Of course, men do mature as they age, but it is something to think about. If you say that you don't really needed it, then there's no need to worry!
xpaperxcutx Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 D I don't think you need spanx. You have a really good figure as is. Is your dress midriff? if it is, just go for a garter, if not, wear one of your best selling bra with match panties, so that if you and the LD guy does get it on, you could model your sexy body for him, like those Victoria Secret models.
Tomcat33 Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 OMG no no no do not wear Spanx!! You are going with a guy, wouldn't you absolutely die of embarassment if he asked as you while you were dancing "what's this?" I bet the difference without is SO miniscule a guy couldn't pick up on it if you pointed it out with a neon sign, we tend to auto scrutinize ourselves and it's not even that bad. I laughed so hard when I saw the title, sorry D-lish you just SO don't fit the mental image of someone who wears Spanx. I know you love the dress but if you feel it doesn't hang right on your body then did you consider that maybe that particular dress/cut is just not right for your body type? Part of wearing a really hot dress is having it fit to your body.
carhill Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Hey, D, even though you don't need it, just for some fun and titillation, if the dress is a dress and not a gown, how about wearing a vintage Rago open-bottom with some Cuban heel full fashions? No garter or undies necessary. Go commando. Yummy

almost famous Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Don't wear the Spanx. I tried them a few times and I actually think they add on fullness and make you look more unnatural.

If D-Lish is trying to even out her hips though that might cut into them though and create more bumps...
2sure Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 I love Spanx and wear them whenever I want no line or bumps. HOWEVER: I usually avoid wearing them when my husband and I are out on a "date". I once wore them under a dress, he felt it, I kind of sort of mumbled what it was. He laughed, but the whole thing made me never ever wear them with him again. I do have a black panty with a longer line & more support than usual (not as long as spanx) and it works. It looks more like a high waisted, 1940s style underwear - in fact, with a black bra ,it looks hot when I slip off my cocktail dress and still have my shoes on. I think its (Im guessing here) Perla??
nicki Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Oh no, no Spanx! I've worn them. They are amazing, but so painful and tight. I am only 105 lbs and the small was awfully constricting. (The sales lady said that's they way they are supposed to be.) BUT, I did have a woman walk up to me when I was at my event and ask me how I got such a flat stomach. That she'd never seen someone with such a flat, almost concave one....ha ha...Spanx illusion! I don't care how small you are, a tight dress will show pantylines, small bulges, etc. The Spanx DO even you out....just be sure to go up a size...I honestly thought I was going to pass out. And I did feel like an Olympic biker with them on! I usually just go commando so I don't have any panty lines. I would recommend this approach, or maybe a slim tube top worn over your hips, no undies underneath....done that, too. Really, nothing beats having a guy dance with you and notice you aren't wearing much, or anything under your dress.

It's LaPerla from Italy, LOVE LOVE LOVE LaPerla, so sexy and feminine!! I have a few peices from here but I found way better stuff in Europe!!
nicki Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Ooooo, Perla, very sexy stuff. Can't go wrong there. I like the idea of a longer, higher waisted panty that looks retro 40's. Gotta go check that out! Yeah, and I won't wear Spanx after my boyfriend felt them and said, "Wow, I need one of those for my beer gut."
carhill Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Sounds like there may be a few European/vintage foundation buffs here. If so, check out the powder room on the Fedora Lounge (that's a forum). TC, I love vintage and love how a women looks with proper foundations. Sometimes more is sexy I married the woman with more, but unfortunately she doesn't share my interest in "dressing" her...

LOL, I wear spandex only with certain dresses but I am always paranoid about people finding out.
