pandagirl Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I've come to my senses. I've been pretty much NC for the last two months; I just sort of disappeared. Dropped him a casual email when I got back from a trip, he replied saying we should hang out soon. I wrote back, and said, "sure, we should." Now, as I await for him to reply, I am realizing...THIS IS A STUPID IDEA I DON'T NEED TO SEE HIM. I AM HAPPY AND FINE WITHOUT HIM! I think I was under the delusion that we can be friends now and yadda yadda. But then I know that if I we hang out, we will have a great time, laugh, have fun, eventually end up flirting and perhaps kissing. This is do not need in my life anymore. Maybe we still can be friends, but not right now.
ioncebelieved Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I am at NC the same amount of time you are!!! You are doing well and DO NOT screw it up!! One way to look at it is like this and same for me. Think back for two months how hard it has been. Would you want to start those two months over again?? I sure as hell would not!! Panda, we can do this!!!
Author pandagirl Posted September 3, 2008 Author Posted September 3, 2008 haha. Well, my ex, we only dated a very short period of time, but kind of continued to date two months after we broke up. I have no hard feelings; he didn't do anything wrong, but it's one of those things where nothing was really wrong -- he just wanted to end it in a respectful way. So, that's essentially the problem: there was nothing really WRONG with us, so when we see each other we get along great and it becomes confusing! But, no contact. I don't need to invite potential drama into my life.
