I have this friend who got herself in such a rut that she left herself, her husband, and her son homeless.

Since we have been friends for so long and her son is my god son, i decided to open my home to help them out.

We discussed how we could help her get a budget together. How to work her finances better, and help her save enough money to be well situated when she finds a place a few months later.

Oh course it is tough to have to household living under one roof but my husband and I have been really trying to do what will in the long run help them get back on their feet.

My friend has a baby on the way in Dec. and her son is 10 months old. I know what it is to be in her situation for it wasn't that long ago that I struggle with an infant.

Her husband found work but it doesn't pay enough for her to stay at home. She hasn't found work as of yet but they came home tonight and told us that they have been looking for a place to stay and found something. They also informed us that they didn't have all the deposit or the money for the first months rent but that the landlord is going to work something out with them.

they have only been here 3 weeks and have saved up only pennies. They have no budget plans or any kind of goal. My husband and I are pretty upset. We are trying to help them get out of the situation they were just in but it seems that they are placing themselves right back in it. I really do not know what to do.

Do I tell a grown woman and man that they are not ready to go out to the "real world" or do I pat them on the back and hope nothing horrible happens?
