frenchgirl Posted August 31, 2008 Posted August 31, 2008 What's the proper etiquette in the workplace when you run into colleagues who you don't actually work with? How often should one say "hi" or smile? A new guy just joined the company and although we don't work together, we've had brief chats and he always puts on a nice smile when he sees me - EVERY SINGLE TIME. I've noticed most people in the workplace don't do that. Is he just being polite? Is there a subtle way I can tell him I might be interested?
