Many middle-aged men do go through midlife crises, but it's not because they are middle-aged. It's because their wives are. From the evolutionary psychological perspective, a man's midlife crisis is precipitated by his wife's imminent menopause and end of her reproductive career, and thus his renewed need to attract younger women. Accordingly, a 50-year-old man married to a 25-year-old woman would not go through a midlife crisis, while a 25-year-old man married to a 50-year-old woman would, just like a more typical 50-year-old man married to a 50-year-old woman. It's not his midlife that matters; it's hers. When he buys a shiny-red sports car, he's not trying to regain his youth; he's trying to attract young women to replace his menopausal wife by trumpeting his flash and cash. Okay Vonerik. Women are crap, we get it. So even if you married someone only a few years younger then yourself or married someone 20 years younger then yourself, she will evetually hit midlife and go through menopause. So either way, women loose and are apparently not deserving of male love and affection when they get older. That seems to be what you are saying. Even 25 year old women age and get older. What do you want women to do? We are damned if we do and we are damned if we don't. We can marry you 10 years older then us or only 2 years older and we will still GET OLDER. So even we if we do marry you younger, basically our man will trade us in anyway because his midlife crises is conditioned on our age. So what does it matter? Why are we even giving men a piece of our lives if that's the case? Why are we having yoour babies and raising your family and caring for you if this is what it comes down to? Please tell me. Because it doesn't matter for women. We get older. And by default, apparently you consider us less of a woman for it. We can't win with men no matter what so what is the point in trying? Please feel free to address my questions. I think they are perfectly valid based on the points you are making here. It doesn't matter at what age we marry you, we still get older, and no matter what...a woman of 25 or a woman of 40, we are apparently all crap to men no matter what. We can't win with men and apparently that's the way you and a few others want it. Why don't you try being on our side for a change instead of on a mission against women? I know that there is no such thing as a perfect women, except TBF and Touche but I still have some requirements that a woman must possess and if I can't find that, then I don't want to be with her. Also, a 50 year old man can't provide a 25 year old woman with the quality of sex a man in her peer group can offer. That's true who's idea of fun is sucking Viagara penis for 5 hrs? Men over 30 definitely need to settle as they're a bit ancient, losing their hardbodies acquired by college athletics, are outdone in hotness by the guys in their 20's but outdone by salary/status by the (married) guys in their 40's Plus the mid life crisis isnt that far away and all women poke fun at that, and late 30's is approaching the age where 'cool bachelor' suddenly becomes 'that weird guy who is almost 40 and still single, like, whats wrong with him?!' Okay, that was a bit tongue in cheek - but basically, the idea of men settling is as ridiculous as women settling. We were having drinks on a patio earlier this summer in a somewhat posh area of the city that is notorious for wealthy types to parade around in their sports cars, and so this one douche drove by a couple of times acting all cool and like he was god's gift to the ladies and he was checking out some girls on the sidewalk and reving up his engine and driving by like "look at me ladies who wants some of this?" And it was maybe the third time he was driving past this street and the douchebag completely missed a stopped car infront of him and rammed his car right into the car infront.:lmao: It was the most hilarious thing EVER. He had to get out of the car and tend to the accident and every single person sitting on that street was killing themselves laughing some young guys were whistling and shouting insults at him it was great! It was priceless. Some of these ill adjusted men just don't realise they are the laughing stock of society, and apparently they start as young as in their 20's to develop this tendency.
