This didn't happen to me, but my friends say it often happens to them.

It goes like this. My friend (let's call him John) and another girl (call her Jane) become close, they date, etc. etc. But in the midst of all this, Jane makes John feel jealous by describing other men favorably:rolleyes: (like 'oh he's so cute,' and all that), or sometimes flirting with them in his presence.

When John confronts her, she just smiles and brushes it aside, saying he's cute when jealous, and so on. It's almost as if Jane enjoys making John jealous.

Why do girls often toy with boys? So far, I haven't heard of boys doing this to girls, they're pretty straightforward about these matters. I am not saying men are better, but at least they don't toy with you, make you jealous and frustrated over this. They're clear about what they want. But girls seem to enjoy toying with boys, why?

First realize that this is a loaded question. Second realize that one answer does not fit for everyone.

The world, no matter how much we deny it, is still a man’s domain. The only thing “women’s liberation” achieved is making women acknowledge their resentment and display their bitterness openly and sometimes viciously.

Your friend Jane is like millions of other women who have been used and hurt by the society of men – not just one man. We grow up bombarded with the unwritten law that women must be beautiful to be loved. Most men neither realize this nor care.

If a woman is pretty she can get what she wants and the BS about being beautiful INSIDE is just that – Bull ****. It means nothing except to pretty women because pretty women are not all bad and have feelings too. They need to assuage their added burden of guilt-by-good-looks with the salve of “inner beauty”. They often take it out on men in various forms, because after all – it’s a man’s world and everything begins with men. So yes, girls will toy with boys. We don’t have much, but we do have that and it’s nothing compared to the hurt the male-dominated world has, and continues to, heap on females.

Sorry Hokey, but I do not agree with your post at all! The world we live in is not a man's domain. Yes, perhaps there are certain jobs/activities that are dominated by men. However, there are an equal amount of areas dominated by the female population. Women's Liberation had much more effect on the world than just to embitter women. What kind of woman are you?...one that should have been born in 18th century, before women's suffrage occurred. Perhaps it would help you appreciate the place you stand in the world. I'm not saying that women are in a perfect position in the world, and that it couldn't improve...but don't discount the effort that went into Women's Liberation/Suffrage.

As for the OP's question....'why do girls toy with boys'. In the post, you said 'Jane makes John feel jealous by describing other men favorably'.

Jane cannot make John feel anything....if he feels jealous as a result of what he's seeing/observing...that's his choice. Similarly...if John were to experience something I like to call RNS (Rubber Neck Syndrome), by gawking at each attractive girl that passes...it would be her choice to feel jealous, not him making her jealous. So I say...John needs to get over it and realize that his girl is with HIM, not the other guy.
