I keep having friends dump their problems on me. One friend has just told me he's leaving the country to escape a stalker (which I have to keep secret because it's someone else I know). Four of my best friends have fallen out because they're opening rival pubs and there is a lot of bad feeling between them regarding secrecy and (alleged) lies so I'm left feeling torn between the two sides and my best friend is still living with her psycho ex-husband.

 

On top of all this I have enough problems of my own to deal with. I need to get a new job (got made redundant a couple of weeks ago), I need to clear my debts and it might be nice if I could find a new girlfriend.

 

They're my freinds and I care about them all deeply but just feeling that I can't cope with much more of other people's **** right now. Aaaargghhh!

You have 4 options.

 

Be their friend (each and everyone of them).

 

Cut them all off.

 

Pick a few you like (or agree with).

 

Continue the way you've been going about...

 

Whatever you choose, remember to go with the sincere friends (if you don't choose 2 that is_

I'll still be friends with all of them as far as I can but it's tough going. To be honest, I've never had as many friends as I have now but I guess more friends mean more headaches, lol

You have that right.:laugh:

 

Take it as a compliment. It means that they look up to you and respect you and your advice. I can understand how it can be stressful at times.
