nowhereman82 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Now that I got your attention! I had a discussion today with the ex and it went very well. I gained some perspective and appreciated it. She said something that I thought instantly would be a good discussion on LS...so ignore that I am speaking of my ex and just comment on the subject. Anyhow, we spoke of my ability to be romantic and then I asked her why she didn't do romantic things...she said she was more thoughtful than romantic...and then she said this " X:for girls .. it seems to be more like ..u have to seduce a guy rather than offer romance X: "romantic" things for a girl are "supposed to be" like leading toward sex X: and i wasn't comfortable with that X: "romantic" things for guys are more like .. trying to make the girl feel special" Ok so before all the ladies get up in arms and say that's not true. I can clearly see that socially this is a perception and possible expectation from a lot of guys. Personally I would like something to feel special. Any thoughts on this topic/statement....
audrey_1 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Now I know why I got a surprise bottle of wine when we were grocery shopping the other night! It was a romantic surprise (without sex). I guess I felt special. Hmph. Guess the next discussion would be one of libido compatibility...
