Melrapuo Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 So I was at a party last night. Having fun, meeting up with people I haven't seen in about 4 or 5 years. I had gone over with a bunch of my friends, and we were all drinking and having fun. Now one of the girls there, who is dating one of my best friends, walks over to me and keeps telling me how her step sister really likes me, and is now single. Woo hoo. This is a good ego boost, except for the fact that she JUST broke up with the guy (really cool guy too, but only met him a couple times.) In addition, she practically cheated on him as often as possible. This isn't the awkward part here, though. Later on that night, I'm downstairs watching my friends play beer pong. The girl dating my best friend comes up to me and starts asking me questions about her boyfriend (my best friend). She's afraid she can't trust him cuz he's young. She's 24, he's 19. She gets jealous when he stares at other girls (he was doing it last night), and she kept pointing it out to me. I told him that yea he's young, and yea it won't last (I was drunk, shouldn't have said that). After that I told her that I really don't know, I'm feeling weird cuz I don't wanna say anything good or bad about my best friend, awkward situation. We talked for a little bit. Here's whats really the awkward situation. I like this girl. I'm attracted to her for some reason - maybe its because she's older, more stable than my ex. She said she's crazy about her bf, but doesn't know if she can trust him. And I'm not going to try and break things up between them. Why me though? I didn't understand why she was asking me about this stuff and not him. It's kind off odd, really. This is how my ex and I got together, because she kept talking to me about how she didn't love her boyfriend, how he treated her like crap, wouldn't leave her alone, yadda yadda. Now I have this girl talking to me, telling me how she loves the guy but is already having doubts only a couple days in. BTW, her step sister came over later on, hit on me like CRAZY. And I was drunk enough to go along, but I didn't do anything. She ended up texting me her number at 3am. Ugh, don't want any of that. Am I considered the voice of reason or something with all my friends? All I want is someone like this girl.
JoeNewbie Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Nothing weird about your situation. Your friend's GF comes to you for advice because she thinks you're a friend. But yet you are twisted enough to wonder whether she's attracted to you. 1. She's your friend's GF 2. She tried to hook you up with another girl 3. She's your friend's GF Move on, dude...
