Tripped up Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Sorry MODS....meant to post this here and not in coping. Was on day 6 NC yesterday. I was happy, it was hard but i felt I was doing well. Until........ My EX and I used to live in houston. We had taken her dog to be vaccinated and they needed a phone number. She did not have a phone, so I gave them mine...... Yesterday as I am pulling up to my apartment I get a call from a houston number. ( I live in Austin,Tx now) I answer and it is the place that we took the dog for her shots. They tell me that the dog has been picked up by someone and they called this number. Great, no problem right? All I have to do is call her dad. (Oh wait I deleted that number) All I have to do is call the lady she is living with!! (Deleted that one too....dammit) Ok, so now I really have to call my EX. So I do, no answer. I call again......no answer. So what do I do?? I call the people who found the dog and tell them that I am on my way to come get her. (I love this dog, she always used to run off, and I would ALWAYS be the one to bring her back. Not to mention this dog means the world to my EX.) She lives in the country, about 45 minutes from where I live. 2 hours later(Horrible traffic) I get to where the directions tell me to go. RIGHT ACCROSS THE STREET FROM HER PLACE!! So I get the dog, and call her again.....no answer. I call again.....she answered this time with a what? I ask her how she is doing?? If everything is ok?? She said no, its been a long week and day....and I cannot find my dog. I was like oh, ok......and hung up. (right as I was pulling into the driveway.) I honk my horn, she comes out looking PISSED. I open my door and out comes her dog. Here is where everything gets messy. She smiled very very briefly. And said a quick thank you. Her dad and the lady she lives with like me....they invited me in for a beer and to look at some pictures.....this did not sit well with her. After being there about 20 minutes she gets up and tells her dad that she is going to the other house, gives him a kiss and says goodbye. She turns to me and says.....thank you for bringing my dog.....bye. (that hurt BTW) Her dad invited me back to his place to try some liqour he got from Europe. He had called her and let her know about that. NOT GOOD! She was pissed. Called me asking what I was trying to pull? I said I am not pulling anything, and you shouldnt think that way. She goes on to say that she does not want me to see her family or her. That I cheated on her and this is what I get. (Yes, I still feel below dirt. Kissed a girl, I have another post on it [COLOR=#660000]http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t159170/[/COLOR]) That she is trying to get over me, and seeing me does not help. Her family still likes/wants to see me and I like them too, but what do I do there?? Pretty sure that would just end up pissing her off more, and pushing her further away. I want to get back with her no doubt. I do believe it would take lots of time. I just could not believe how cold she was. She has not been this way since the break up over a month ago. In fact she has been warm, loving, holding hands, kissing, saying I love you's....etc..... Are there phases that people normally go through after a break up? It looked and sounded like she was angry, I want there to be hope, but after that I am not sure how much remains.... Did I still do the right thing in anyones opinion?
