beachgurl0404 Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 I have been seeing this guy for about 2 months. We hit if off great from the beginning. Problem is that he is dealing with depression. At times he locks himself up in his house and I don't hear from him or see him. He has been drinking a little more than he should too. He won't open up unless he is drinking. He has told me 3 times that he loves me. I want to believe him so much, but when he does this thing where he just drops off the face of the earth, i have a hard time believing him. I'm trying not to take it personally, but it really bothers me when he ignores my calls and I don't even hear from him. I don't know what to do. I'm trying so hard to get him through this depression and support him, but I think its dragging me down too. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm tired of hurting!
CommitmentPhobe Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 You shouldn't be supporting someone in the first two months of a relationship. That's the time to go out have fun and develop something that will keep you together when the hard times hit It's sad about his depression, but at the end of the day it's not your problem.
