KaRo Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 So, I wonder if anyone here has a similiar situation than mine and has overcome it. My situation: I was outgoing till about 12 yrs or so, then at 13 I started getting very nervous socially, especially around girls. Some girls would say they liked me (touching, staring), or comment they were attracted to me...but it always felt weird and I was overtly self-conscious. Now at 23, I literally have no experience with anything physical with women. I'm convinced it will stay that way because each passing year it gets more embarressing to admit inexperience. So...has anyone else dealt with a similiar situation.
motive2002 Posted August 20, 2008 Posted August 20, 2008 I was a late bloomer.. well compared with some of my friends anyway. You'll stumble for a while and feel nervous, but you'll get there. If a girl really digs you, she'll guide you along and probably get a kick out of it!
Author KaRo Posted August 20, 2008 Author Posted August 20, 2008 lol yeah that would be nice! I'm not sure how realisitc that is though as I'm sure most women want a guy tha has some sort of experience.
Enema Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Four easy steps: 1) See a therapist, or hypnotherapist even about your social anxiety 2) Hire an escort (or 3) and get some experience 3) ??? 4) Profit
Sinister Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 I'm convinced it will stay that way because each passing year it gets more embarressing to admit inexperience. Don't let a little fact like inexpereince get in the wayt of you enjoyingh some of the best years of your life. Besides, everytime you nail someone new its like the first time all over again....sort of.
Alma Mobley Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Yes, this happened to me... I used to have social anxiety. It didn't fully hit me until mid-20s. Cognitive-behavioral therapy really helped me. Maybe you can find a therapist who specializes in that? I had it really bad, and now I give lectures to whole groups of people! Just a suggestion...

Wow, that's great Alma! Glad you improved so much. And there's not many shrinks in the small city I live in, and I would have to drive a ways to find one (and I'm a terrible driver lol).
