Mending1985 Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Music has always helped deal with my emotions a lot so I thought I would start a thread for people to post the songs that make them feel better about a break up etc. - hopefully it will help others find new angry/moving on/happy songs! This is my personal favourite: Good Luck by Basement Jaxx Tell me tell me is life just a playground Think you're the real deal honey And someone'll always look out for you But wake up baby You're so totally deluded You'll end up old and lonely If you don't get a bullet in your head Good luck good luck Good luck in your new bed Enjoy your nightmares honey When your're resting your head Good luck good luck Good luck in your new bed Enjoy your nightmares honey When your're resting your head You sold me sold me Sold me down the river now Hope you're feeling happy now Now you'll always have a sneer in your smile But wake up baby You're so totally deluded You'll end up old and lonely If you don't get a bullet in your head Good luck good luck Good luck in your new bed Enjoy your nightmares honey When you're resting your head Good luck good luck Good luck in your new bed Enjoy your nightmares honey When you're resting your head And I'm glad so glad that I'm done with you No more crying crying leaving me so black and blue You backed me up against the wall but I stand tall Don't give a damn no more Oh baby bye bye No more lies No more lies No more lies Without you Good good luck in your new bed Enjoy your nightmares When you're resting your head Good good luck in your new bed Enjoy your nightmares Good luck good luck Good luck in your new bed Enjoy your nightmares honey When you're resting your head
LateBloomer Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 I've been listening to tons of Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters ... Present Tense Given to Fly Times like These In Hiding Porch Oceans ... Then again, those apply to my situation. Thank god for music though, eh?

Trimmer Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 Indigo Girls - Galileo, Watershed Jackson Browne - For a Dancer Suzanne Vega - Soap and Water, Gypsy Foo Fighters - Everlong Tori Amos - Silent All These Years Randy Newman - Baltimore All Pink Floyd up to Wish You Were Here For me, a list like this is so very personal - it has everything to do with my emotional place and state at the time each song worked its way into my life, which pretty much stays locked forever. Then I can pick and choose - it's like an emotional library of different people, relationships, events, locations, etc. spanning my entire life.
