Laurenwho Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 I have posted previously about this guy my sister and her hubby were trying to set me up with. I have split (again) from my ex because he was being selfish (again). My sister (who lives several hours away) did not even know my ex and I got back together briefly as I haven't talked with her. I have posted about this guy I'll call him John that lives 4 hours away from me and is my BIL's close friend. My sister and BIL have been trying to hook us up. We had become friends about 3 yrs ago though never met till last year at my sister's wedding. Nothing happened then because I was dating my ex. Last fall we started emailing and talking on the phone just as friends. Since he found out I was single he wanted to go on a vacation with me but could not take time off. I have been getting mixed signals (most on here said he wasn't interested). My BIL has told me he really likes me but is afraid to get too attached as I live so far away. He also told me that his friend has had a crush on me for quite awhile and would love to date me. Now that I'm single he has taken to contacting me often. He uses Myspace a lot and will leave cute comments on my page. But then he confuses me because the one time I sent him a flirty email he did not respond. I had decided to go no-contact with him and had been doing so,. Last week, I was having a frustrating conversation with a representative about my electric bill- they read the meter wrong and charged me $500 more than they were supposed to!! I was stressed out by this and was having a bad day. When I got off the phone I noticed someone had sent me a text message. It was a funny picture and message from my BIL's friend John. It made me laugh so much and I called him to tell him thanks that I needed that. We talked for about a half hour (he took a break at work just so he could talk to me) and he was very sweet. He talked about going to this amusement park and it seemed like he wanted to ask me to go with him but I told him I don't like roller coasters so he never asked. He did say (again) to call him anytime. That was last week. On saturday of this week I got a text message from him (again another funny text) and I replied with something that made him laugh and we ended up texting for about two hours. I asked him if he had gone to the amusement park as planned and he said no but that he was going to ask my sis and BIL to go and wondered if my sister would go. He told me "if you want to go I promise you will have fun". I made a joke about him not asking my sister and her hubby to go during the week they were supposed to go on vacation with me. He sent me a smiley face with a wink and siad he was going to ask them to go that week "but if I steal them then I know you will be able to go and I really would like to see you" Later that night after we finished talking and texting he sent me a text that said "I hope you have a good weekend. I put something on your myspace page you might like. If its ok I'll give you a call tomorrow and we can plan a good time" I just replied "Ok good night" because I was tired. But the tone of his messages and our talks has definately changed because he is more flirtacious. But then again I'm confused because he said he'd call yesterday and never did. I texted him and told him I hoped he had a nice weekend and that I didn't have a chance to talk to my sis (he asked to call them and see if they wanted to go). He texted me back that he did have a good weekend and that he hoped I did too. He then said "of course we all need to go (to amusement park) it woudl be a great time. I just wish I was able to go on vacation with you" so to me that sounds like he's into me, But I have no idea!!

Look this is the second time you've blown him off and the second time you've asked whether he's interested. I don't see how I've blown him off. He is the one who asked me to go and after he said he'd like to see me I told him to pick a day and we'd make plans. He said he would call me the next day (he texted this) but he never called. But when I texted him letting him know i hadn't gotten ahold of my sister and BIL yet he mentioned going again and he said he definately wants to go and that he wishes he could go on vacation with me. I didn't get his text till late last night and I sent back that yeah it would be fun if he could go but I will call him from vacation when I'm relaxing in the pool and rub it in (joking) I haven't heard back from him since. Its just strange because he's finally started to be a little flirtacious and is asking me to go to this amusement park with him (and he told me he's asking my sis and BIL because he knows I'll go if they go and he wants to see me) so all of that makes me think he likes me. But then him not calling when he said he would and not responding at all to my last text just makes me wonder. Anyone who has any insight (good or bad) is welcome to reply. No smart a** comments please. I'm looking for help just like everyone else.
