hellokitty55 Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 My ex bf and this girl have only known eachother 1.5 months from working together. They have a mutual infatuation with eachother, no commitment (yet) and no intimacy (shes jailbait). He said when she turns 18 next August (a whole year from now!) he would ask her out but she's also going out of state for college that same month. My question is how long does infatuation last...like the butterflies, always thinking of that person, going out of your way to see them etc..?? I doubt he will still have these exciting feelings towards her in a year. What do you think? Can a LDR work if its not based on true love, only infatuation??

How long that lasts and whether the relationship progresses to the next level is as individual as the two people involved. No one can tell you the answer -- including the two people that are in the relationship. My question to you is why are you so interested? The guy is your EX-boyfriend, not a current one. You might better spend your time concentrating on a new relationship instead of trying to play "Magic 8-Ball" regarding one that's already done and dusted. Best, TMichaels
