ismellsogood Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 I'm 23 years old, almost 24, and I go to the gym every single night with my 20 year old sister. Since I've been going there, I've noticed a guy that I thought was really attractive, and I am pretty sure that he was noticing me too. He would catch me looking at him, him at me, his friends looking over at me, my sister looking over at him (because I pointed him out), etc. However, it's never been anything substantial. The thing is, I'm not afraid of guys that I find attractive, but he is definitely older than I am. The two friends he comes to the gym with look like they're about 40. The guy I find attractive is getting a few greys, but still looks really great and seems very youthful and friendly. Oh, and also...no wedding ring, I checked. However, I have to say that I do feel uncomfortable showing body language of welcoming to him, because I don't want to be that young girl at the gym trying to hit on older men, especially when he goes with his older friends, especially when I'm there with my sister who's under 21 years old. Should I just forget this? I don't wanna act like a snob if I see him looking over, but...I don't want to start something up in territory that may be uncomfortable socially, especially at a gym.
Rooster_DAR Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Funny, I would not worry about it too much, do what you feel like doing and don't worry about what other people think. My GF was 21 when I met her and I am over 40, the same exact thing happened with us and everything if fine. Cheers!

Lyssa Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 My SO is 36 and he has a lot of grey hair which I think is very sexy (have always liked men with grey hair) so that older man could be around 30ish. The only way to find out is to start a conversation with him. Go for it!
