mizzy_C Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Me and my boyfriend have been dating for about 6 months. We hit it off right away and I've never felt like this about any one so soon before. He treats me with respect and is very loving in his actions, but not verbal about them. I'm sure i've fallen in love with this guy, and I think he has with me too. He has said things before like "you don't know how much i like you" and once "you don't know how much i love you" and also, "i a little more then like you" (he said this when he was drunk, i'm sure he meant it and i know he's a fraidy cat to say those things normally). I've never told a guy I loved him first, it was always the guy who said it to me first so i'm afraid of saying it to him. Is there any ways I can drop hints that i love him without actually bluntly saying "i love you" so maybe he will come out and say it to me? Or should i just flat out say it to him...? I'm kind of the romantic type and i want the man to tell me he loves me first.
carhill Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 What do his actions tell you? Does he say ILY to his family and long-time friends? How do you feel about him? Would ILY be the best way to describe it? IMO, ILY, both the words and actions, are a gift we give someone. Your choice....

carhill Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 He was qualifying and projecting, in that he doubted her unexpressed perception. Saying ILY to someone is a simply offered gift of oneself. Nothing more. No psychoanalysis
Mahatma Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 I think he clearly wants to say it to you, but is unsure if you will return it. Just keep affirming how much you like him and hopefully he will say it first.
