Question for everybody: If your ex is crazy, will he(she) always be crazy?

My gf of 1.5 years just broke up with me a couple of days ago. Everybody (my family, my friends, our mutual friends) have always told me throughout that she was crazy, hurtful to me, and it would be a matter of time before it would end.

 

Well, it ended. So, as the subject states, do our crazy ex's (not saying all ex's are crazy, just a select few) ever get non-crazy?

 

An example of her craziness: She was legally married to another person (before we met), yet insists on calling him her "ex-boyfriend". She later tried to reduce the hurt of their break up over a summer and ended up moving in with him!

 

Despite it all, I loved her so much. I wish she would come back or should I be happy that she's gone and more, even worse pain in the future was avoided. . .
