So...

I am engaged to a man who has been divorced and has 3 kids with his ex-wife.

We get the kids for the Summer and she gets the kids for the school year.

They are going back to their mom's house this weekend.

Although, this year she is coming to pick them up from our house.

Well, when she gets here, she is going to spend the night with her new boyfriend.

So everyone is going to be under the same roof.

Is this weird?

(By the way, she doesn't really care for me, and I am also 10 years younger than her, and also her kids act like hellions when she is around.)

I was just wondering what everyone else thought about this...

I guess it would be weird for some. Uncomfortable and awkward for you and for her new BF, I would think. That's quite a blended family situation!

The best you can do is simply help keep the peace like everyone else and hope that time passes quickly!

The kids are bound to act up. They are seeing Mom and Dad with people that in their hearts they likely think "don't belong with".

For the kids sake, if for no other reason - just be civil and gracious for as long as you can until it is over.

Thank you very much for your reply...

All I have to say about the whole situation is, "It should be interesting!"

Tell them to get a hotel. Why do they have to stay with you?

I got into a blazing argument when I was with my H, because he told his xw that she could stay at his place if she wnated when she came visiting with their son. Needless to say, that didn't happen. We ended up going to visit her instead, but spent the night in a hotel. Not only that, his xw had a boyfriend which he didn't know about.

That sounds like a really difficult situation :o
