My name is Scott and I need some advice. My girlfriend with whom we were serious has just ended with me. She said that she no longer respects me, I live at home and take care of my ailing mother, not sure if thats it. She wasn't very clear on it. Also, she said she doesn't feel like trying to make it work anymore, shes done. Now for the tricky part of it, she works for me at a bank I manager and this whole 6 month relationship was so a secret. I never got to meet her children, as she thought it could get back to work by her ex husband who is a customer. Its not against company rules to date and I had offered to tell the boss, but she wasn't for that. Thats a brief recap of up till now of a wonderful relationship with whom I wanted to marry her and we talked about and she claimed to want the same. Now, I get the I can find better than her, shes not good enough for me speech:confused:. Anyway, my problem is what to do? I love her dearly, but it sounds like she has given up. Oh, also told my boss today about it, as I may have to take a few days of work to not see her. He was ok with it and said we could of told him a long time ago to save us the secrets. Back to now, he also kinda encouraged me to resign my job at the bank to avoid any problems. Thats huge too! He was for us fixing things out, but feels problems with happen if not and I should go. I am sorry this is all messed together, I am a bit confused. I want the love of my love and I don't want to have to quit my good job. Please help....

Sounds tough mate, I feel for you.

Sounds like she wasn't good enough for you, saying she doesn't respect you. That's not a nice comment, particularly when she is breaking up with you. That's hurtful, so she obviously isn't the one for you. Don't listen to her critisism.

You shouldn't have to quit your job either. If your manager asks you to leave ask him why she shouldn't leave or why you can't at least arrange a transfer or something. Stand up for yourself man.
