maynicholas Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Once you mutually decide to become exclusive does that mean you are boyfriend & girlfriend or is there another step I don't know about? Silly, I know...
Trialbyfire Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 If you've had the exclusivity, relationship discussion, you can call each other "big boy", "my little cherub" if you want. Regardless, you're in a relationship. p.s. Plse, plse, don't do that!
Author maynicholas Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 What? The names or the exclusivity?
jerbear Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Once you mutually decide to become exclusive does that mean you are boyfriend & girlfriend or is there another step I don't know about? Silly, I know... Yes, no "next step" the next step is to become ex's and finances at the same time then marriage.
Author maynicholas Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 Yes, no "next step" the next step is to become ex's and finances at the same time then marriage. I'm confused...
Author maynicholas Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 Tasteless pet names. Ok good. No need for tasteless. Thanks
jerbear Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 I'm confused... I was being goofy. Once you have the chat, you two are boyfriend and girlfriend. There really is not next steps. The next step talking about marriage.
xpaperxcutx Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 I was being goofy. Once you have the chat, you two are boyfriend and girlfriend. There really is not next steps. The next step talking about marriage. Jer bear you've totally excluded the moving- in, dealing with moody gf, pms, fights, arguments... need I go on?
Jilly Bean Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Ok good. No need for tasteless. Thanks Since when are pet names tasteless? I think that those who aren't called pet names are probably jealous that they don't have someone. Call him schmoopie if you like! I've never dated someone and NOT had our secret little pet names for each other. I loved it. It was like our own little twin speak language. lol And congrats on the new status!
Author maynicholas Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 Thanks! It's kind of crazy! We had 'the talk' last night without it being a big fuss.
jerbear Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Jer bear you've totally excluded the moving- in, dealing with moody gf, pms, fights, arguments... need I go on? Sorry I must have left the toilet seat up again.
Author maynicholas Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 Aw... My new bf never leaves the seat up
Trialbyfire Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Tasteless pet names are revolting, same as baby talk or naming body parts with tasteless pet names. So tacky.
Author maynicholas Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 But tasteful pets names are cool right?
stoopid_guy Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 Call him schmoopie if you like! If he lets you call him "schmoopie," he's gotta be in love!!!
Trialbyfire Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 No probs with tasteful! Remember, Poopsie is the name of the uber fat poodle that lives down the street.
Author maynicholas Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 And smelly poophead is what I call my pets
mortensorchid Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 I think that if you have decided to be mutually exclusive, or if you have been officially asked "(So and so) want to go steady?", and certainly after one of you has said "I love you", and the other has said "I love you too".
Author maynicholas Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 I have to hijack my own thread and ask... Why does the whole 'the talk' thing seem like a big scary deal when you read about it? Our chat was just that. A casual chat. 'No, I'm not seeing any one else are you? No. So do you want to call ourselves exclusive? Yes. Good.' The end.
Author maynicholas Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 No 'I love you' yet- but I'm not concerned about that.
