LoveDeluxe78 Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 My dad took me to my first baseball game when I was 3 years old! I've been a SF Giants fan since then! If a guy is not into sports, esp. baseball, then he will be spending most of baseball season by himself, so that, unfortunately, just won't work out! I've met many guys at the ballpark too so things usually work out dating-wise with them because we have that aspect in common! Women LOVE sports! Honestly, it is NOT because they think they have to be to attract men. There are some women like that, but you can spot a fake anywhere! Lots of little girls are being taken to games so it makes sense that this generation and women in their 20s and 30s LOVE sports and can appreciate it for what it is! I have noticed this probably since the 90's...before that, I thought women weren't all that crazy about sports in general, like watching it on TV, so many "Football" widows/wives, etc etc. Now, in personal ads, I am seeing women that are hardcore fans of teams as much as some men are these days. (Heck, it can be a deal breaker to women for a man not to be into sports) It was kind of funny, because me and some friends were out, about 3 of us guys, and 2 girls...one girl was a big Boston Red Sox fans, and she was attempting to discuss the team with us....and we had blank stares on our faces when she was discussing the stats..... ANd she was like, "What, none of you MEN are into sports?!?!" lol

A real sports gal will know her stats, have her fantasy teams, and her favorite players! And don't let the fact that she likes sports make you think she's masculine - some of the hottest girls I've seen, have been at the ballpark making all the guys drool! Especially with the younger generation, lots of these girls grew up with their daddies taking them to game when they were kids! I think the OP is talking about women who put on their profile "Love football!", and then when you talk to them they have no clue. Do they really love it? Or just trying to say what they think men want to hear... Like if I put on my profile, "Love the soaps" thinking that would get me in..
