quankanne Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 yes, touché, it's my newest grandnephew. Can you tell that Grandma and Grandpa (my brother) are already putting ideas into his head about the military? at last count, I think THAT baby came into a family with a puppy, a grown dog and 3-4 cats, so it'll be interested when he hits the crawling stage. No word on whether his older sisters actually do good around the family peps ... someone mentioned siamese? Gorgeous cats, but with very definite personalities. As in split personalities!
vonerik012 Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Cats give attention to whomever feeds them. Have you ever dated a woman who constantly mentions her cats "love" for her? I have, and I think that might be a red flag indicating something. What, I am not sure of yet. Some dogs love everyone. Thats why I like German Shepherds. They are more aloof, and only give true loyalty to certain individuals.
quankanne Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 each fills a different need. Dogs are like smaller children in that they need your attention and are socially inclined. They just seem more loving, and they tend to respect your authority as parent/owner. cats, on the other hand, are definitely teenagers: They want their independence, and only come around when they want you to feed them. There is no respect for parental authority ... or begrudgingly, if any!!!!
Author Trialbyfire Posted August 10, 2008 Author Posted August 10, 2008 I like both types of pets but must admit that I love the independent attitude of cats.
Trimmer Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 Fortunately he's not much of a licker. He loves to suckle the tip of his own tail though. It's some sort of fetish. Ahhh... I wish I could do that.
