i am so unsure of whether or not he's interested... its driving me crazy!!!

okay, so there is this guy that i've know since i was 12 (im now 25). we were never really tight friends, we met through mutual friends and have run into each other every year or so since we met, through friends, work, etc...

 

so i've had a crush on him since the first time i met him, but he has always had a girlfriend or been actively dating someone.

 

recently, we reconnected via myspace after a 2 year gap in seeing each other. i msged him (with no intention other than reconnecting with a friend) saying: hey i havent seen you in forever, no random encounters, thats unexceptable, we should catch up. so he responded immediately, telling me he'd love to get together, his schedule is kind of hectic, but his weekend evening are usually free and "we should definitely get together and make out... i mean hang out :)" (that is an exact quote). so after reading this message, i went back and checked his profile, only to realize, he is recently divorced from his wife of 4 years, and he is actually single!

 

so i wrote him back, with "make out, hang out... whatever ;)" and told him im usually around on weekends, and we should hang out soon, and gave him my cell. he did not respond to this msg, and the next day, posted a bulliten saying, i got a new phone, i need everyones numbers... so i responded with "i showed you mine, now show me yours" - to which he wrote back right away, with "for a good time, call #########". so a couple days after this, i msged him again on a friday, and asked if he would be around the following weekend to hang out.

 

well its now thursday, and i havent heard anything from him. i can see that he read my msg, but i dont know if he is ignoring it, or waiting to see if he will be around, or if i should call him and see whats up.

 

im confused, and i feel like... its been 13 years since we met, i've been crushing on him this long, and he is finally available... it would be stupid to pass up the opportunity to see if he's interested. but at the same time, my confidence is lacking, and my self doubt is torturing me...

 

do i call him tonight and see if he wants to hang out this weekend, or see if he responds on his own? help me!!!

well... nevermind i was just informed that he has started talking to someone else and is happy with his situation.

 

i give up on this ever becoming anything... its too bad, this felt an awful lot like fate.

You can still hang out with him as a friend. If he IS seeing someone it is obviously very new and not serious yet.
