But then a guy that seems good on paper, things I am looking for except I'm not attracted to him. I just got an email from a guy and he sends me his picture, I think damn he is cute. We start chatting and of course all he wants is fwb! Why can't the sexy ones want to date with relationship potential?!?!

It's the pond you're fishing in. Hot guys online have a LOT of choice. It's like a buffet of women. I think more relationship-minded men are found IRL.

Not bitter at all, not fishing (they contact me) and are men I have encountered all over. I just wish it was different. Like this guy I wish he would have said he wanted to date to see if there was relationship potential. I know all men want sex obviously, I just wish that all the hot/good looking ones didn't want only sex (fwb). (not generalizing I just mean the ones I have come across) Then guys that do want relationship i'm just not attracted to, well they are mostly below average in looks and you can't help who your attracted too. I do have a wide window of what i am attracted to. Just would be nice if a hot one wanted what I wanted!

I mean, guys that hot get hit on constantly IRL - they dont need the internet to find dates. BUT, few guys will approach a woman in store to pick her up for sex. Just easier online...

Women are attracted to men with high testosterone levels (this affects the way they look and act.) Men with high testosterone levels, in addition to being masculine, aggressive, toned, etc, are also prone to trying to spread their seed as much as possible. I took a class called animal behavior, and they actually injected testosterone to a species of birds to see if high testosterone or low testosterone males had more reproductive fitness. While the high testosterone males attracted significantly more mates, none of them stuck around to take care of the young. The low testosterone males, on the other hand, attracted less mates but took care of their young. The result was that the reproductive fitness of the two was about equal, because without paternal care, the young of the high testosterone males often died. So basically, natural selection evens out, and thats why theres still a range of high and low testosterone men. Theres more too this too, for example many female animals will choose low testosterone males as life partners but have extra pair copulations with high testosterone males, etc... but I wont get into the rest of it.
trubella Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Here's a very crude answer: you're aiming too high. agree with this- just from personal experience ive met and dated guys who were exceptionally goodlooking- a few models, athletic jocks and the one common factor i noticed with all of them when i was single is they never wanted anything serious, same ole' typical casual fun. they have so many women to choose from settling down is far in the future from their way of thinking. theyd rather have their fun. sure theyre nice to be with in the beginning but after awhile you have to deal with women throwing themselves at them, they can pretty much have their pick. before i met the current bf i decided this time i wouldnt put looks so high on the list, hes no david beckham- but he's loyal and commited, ill take that any day over sexy looks that will fade within time. next time maybe try someone different. not necessarily someone whose been hit with the fugly stick, but average is ok.

Because the things your "looking" for from the very beginning are primarily based on lust & that in itself is part of the problem. Your basing your attraction on someone moreso on how they make you "feel" romantically. Yes that tends to happen to most women since we are emotionally driven but once you get passed that stage & have grown out of that then you will have a better vision of what qualities are most important & thats not guys who are sending you hump requests.

LOL Ya I figured that much, why would they want one girl when they can take their pick.
