yongyong Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I am just wondering how latin girls(S.America) are different. I think they want men to be a MAN:confused: They think men should treat women really nice (I was asked to open the car's door everytime I see her but I don't do it anymore:rolleyes:) They expect the guy to initiate it first whether it's asking for date, just calling, things like that. (I heard for some country, if a girl ask guys phone number first, she would be looked as whore lol) Anything else I should know?
Lucky555 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 i am half latin but i have the latin views. The guy should pay for dinner..at least the first time. The guy should treat me very good Don't gawk at other women while i am around. Do pay attention to me and look into my eyes when you talk to me...it tells me that your honest..(i myself love looking at a mans eyes!) You can touch..but try going for the lower part of the back or the hand. I'm a princess dam it! lol Really treat her very well and she will FALL for you! Hug her. Don't swear a lot unless she does..but i highly doubt she does. Skip dinner and a movie and DO SOMETHING FUN! Find out what she is interested in. Drinking...no thanks not on a date. Kissing..Look into her eyes...ask her if you can kiss her.
Lizzie60 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I don't really care about the female latinos.. but man do I ever like the male Latinos .. they are my favourites!!!! The ones I've seen were very 'gentleman' very sweet.. and good lovers..
Vicious_Delicious Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I just got into a relationship with a latin woman (dated two months, committed a week ago). It's pretty fun, although I noticed that she is very catty towards other latin women. She is all over me in public places where there are other women around, such as bars and clubs, which is perfectly ok with me. I do have to pay for a lot of ****, and she does like me to take control of the situation. She'll pretty much do anything I want to do, so long as I have it planned out. However, I always make sure she is comfortable with the plans that I've made. And yes, she is a princess, so yeah, be prepared to deal with that kind of stuff. I usually have to initiate the calling, dates, etc. However, she is good about returning calls and initiating text messages. All in all, she's a really great girl, and I enjoy spending time with her. I've always been in to Latin women, however, this is the first time I've actually had one as a girlfriend. Any more questions, just ask.
Jake Barnes Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 The one thing I hate about Latin culture is all the dancing
quankanne Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 The one thing I hate about Latin culture is all the dancing yeah, it's a bxtch when your drunken date keeps stepping all over your feet ...
quankanne Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I don't think latinas are any different than their non-latina counterparts when it comes to dating: They want to be treated with respect, and they want to be treated good. Maybe it's a bit mercenary of me to say this, but it's nice when guy offers to treat you like a princess. It doesn't mean she's going to take advantage, but it makes her feel like she's special. other thing to remember with this particular culture is that family is very close-knit, so a good deal of the time you're going to be doing stuff that involves her family – a friend of mine told me that since marrying, his social life really exploded because of all the get-togethers in her extended family that they were expected to be at.
Shygirl15 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I am just wondering how latin girls(S.America) are different. Isn't this the same with every woman? (I heard for some country, if a girl ask guys phone number first, she would be looked as whore lol) That's probably my country.. Anything else I should know? How about learning some few tips on how to behave like a gentleman around women?
flc Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Being in Miami I have a lot of experience dating Latin women. I think most of the advice is pretty much on track, they prefer the men to make the decisions and are great fun to go out with. Some advice it to learn some Spanish and if you can't dance you are going to be at a disadvantage, everyone I have gone out with loves to dance.
Lizzie60 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I thought your favourites were black men or as you call them "chocolate men". Latinos are pretty 'chocolate' to me..
Lucky555 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Everyone here is right! DANCING..If you really want to win her over dancing. I myself can't get enough of it! lol Also..the man taking the lead is another thing. I always wait for the guy to make the move, call, touch, kiss, ect. I will reciprocate but to me it shows i have class and I won't be trashy...like being over bearing on him. I get along great with other girls but watch out if your flirting with my guy..Most Spanish women don't like that its very disrespectful on the part of the woman who is flirting. We tend to not like them very much hahaha. Another thing if she wished you happy birthday say THANK YOU. Please, welcome, thank you or anything she says thats positive. If you validate her efforts you will be THE KING to her!
Jake Barnes Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Latinos are pretty 'chocolate' to me.. wha? we come in all flavors im as pale as a siberian
Lizzie60 Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 wha? we come in all flavors im as pale as a siberian Well the Latinos I've been with were a rich creamy chocolate.. you could be a nice white chocolate..
flc Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Also if you don't dance a great way to further your relationship is to take Salsa lessons. I would recommend it to anyone.
