Well, he had no interest. Thats all.

Nothing to read into. Nothing about being alpha or non- alpha.

Think about it. If you meet a guy online, and want to go home quickly, why would that be?

JillyBean- I will take your advice about the balls. Lots of balls. In the air. Juggle the balls. If I lose a couple of balls, I'll just find a couple more. Thanks

JerBear and Lizzie-It is entirely possible he wasn't feeling the chemistry and wanted to get out. The one thing I was thinking though, was that he didn't have to walk me to my street. He was going in the opposite direction. It's not like it was dark out or anything. Who the hell knows. I think the point is that anyone who makes you question their intentions this early on is probably a no-go. He may surprise me, we'll see.

Of course your response would be in the man's favor. Any chance to put a woman down, it seems you will take, Vonerik. Or is it Imbewildered?

I wouldn't draw the conclusion that he's either not interested or a non-alpha.

But...

Most certainly, I wouldn't pursue. Let him come to you.

Yeah, I know it can be overanalyzed but we're just trying to entertain her (hee! hee!). Seriously, if it were me, I'd just assume he wasn't interested and leave it at that.

Trust me, I'm not losing any sleep over this. I was just curious to see what you guys thought.

You noticed this, too? Seems to be a pattern.

Well, now, I forgot about the street incident. I agree, it was a little confusing but, as you said, he may surprise you. Keep us posted.

I know, I'm just playin with ya. I would've asked the very same questions just to see what everyone else had to say about it.

I know. Playin's fun

Its not playing favorites or putting you down at all.. Just being honest. It happens to everyone.

If a man posted the same exact thing, my response would be the same. However, men are rejected far more often and wouldn't even be asking.

Your name reminds me of something from the movie The Last Samurai. Did you see it? Katsumoto said, "to spend your life searching for the perfect blossom would not be a wasted life."

Yep, chemistry is a weird thing. It's either there or it isn't.

That's sweet. Does that mean someone is searching for me? I hope so.

I never saw that movie. I picked my name because I live in Washington, DC and one of my favorite times of the year is when the cherry blossom trees bloom. It's a pink canopy of cherry blossoms. So pretty. They were given to us by the Japanese...I'm not sure when exactly....

Yep, I'm sure that's what it means.

Oh, wow, I'll bet those trees are gorgeous. What a fabulous gift.

At the end of the movie, Katsumoto came to a realization and whispered, "They are all perfect."

I would go as far to say that it is not even you, it is partially due to the medium you met through, and what that has done to peoples view of the opposite sex and dating.

It is almost impossible for me to have coffee with a woman from online and feel chemistry. The setting is just not conducive to that at all.

Yeah, the online thing feels weird to me, but I don't meet men at work, I know all my friend's friends, and the guys I meet when I go out at night are too young and still in party-party phase. It's kinda weird though.

Plus I keep hearing about success stories....

I agree- let him come to you.

I prefer being pursued myself, and if I go out with someone, I wait for them to contact me...if they don't, I move on.

Who knows what was on his brain! there are so many possibilities. You can't possibility figure it out.

I am def on board with the let him call you though.
