I have encountered that i have no desire to date right now. I just want to focus on myself. Sometimes i just don't understand.

There's nothing wrong with you. I think it's good that you recognize that you aren't into dating right now and you're putting yourself first.

Right or wrong, I go through periods just like you do. About a week ago, I cut loose the last guy I was dating, due to something that happened during a close friend's house party which wasn't entirely his fault since the ex-H can get pretty verbally aggressive. Word to the wise, do not mix three alphas in a room who you used to date or be married to...

At this moment, dating is the last thing on my mind. Enough with men drama!

Sometimes you need to recharge by spoiling yourself. It's a good thing! :)

Lucky - Im currently in an INTENSELY bitter state, and have sworn off men entirely, eternally. I am devoted to eating mass quantities of anything I want (today was lobster, french fries, licorice, tomato coconut soup, dry roasted peanuts and some leftover turkey that was in the freezer), avoiding the gym as long as humanly possible, sitting on the couch watching baseball, and spending my (semi) conscious hours on LS.

Ever see that episode on Nip/Tuck where the woman NEVER left the couch, would eat, urinate and deficate on it, to the point that the fabric had fused to her under-carriage? I'm going for that.

I vote focus on you. And if you get bored - I'll be RIGHT here.

I'm at the stage where I'm pretty sick of the drama kings, too. I get sweaty palms just thinking about going out with someone. Plus, it's just nice not to have to answer to anyone about anything right now.

Ahhhh......can you hear that? It's called peace and quiet.

But you must be bothered else you wouldnt start a thread about it on a Dating forum ;) I say don't bother unless a very attractive person crosses your path then DEFINITELY make the effort!!

And hey, Jilly, keep your head up! There's a super hottie out there somewhere...I am of the annoyingly optimistic and positive 'he was a loser, a great guy will come long soon!' types, post-split these days (usually)...who knows, there could be a really great guy around the corner...not that life is all about meeting a guy, but you can't turn down a real hottie if you meet one :D

I have been feeling just like that...having pie, muffins, ect. Just saying i can eat what i want now. But i am taking time out to think and getting my best self back. I want me to be happy just by doing what i want to do now. its a reflection time i guess.
