I think I stayed involved in my last "realtionship" (using term loosely) for as long as I did b/c I have a fear of intimacy. I am starting to realize that my fear of getting hurt has actually been causing me tremendous pain and keeping me from finding what I really want, which is a healthy intimate relationship. Any advice for dealing overcoming this?

It comes down to a philisophical problem really. your fear of failure out weighs you pursuit for success. I would ask what do you lose if you fail? If a relationship fails just get another

I'm wondering if reading these posts here, where everyone is getting their hearts broken all the time, is maybe a bad idea for me
