flc Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 As a middle age male (50) I think online dating works as long as you are patient and not push the shotgun approach. I am pretty selective and by reading the profiles and looking at the pictures I can narrow down my interest to people I feel are reasonably compatible. I limit online interaction to just a couple of emails as you must meet someone in person so why waste time chatting in the ether. So far in about 50 emails I have sent I have dated 5 women of the 5 two were very compatible and I enjoyed going out with them. I am currently seeing one women that I met this way and have dated three times and things are progressing well. Work on developing some key questions that you can use in your first few emails to better tell how well someone will really match their profile and maybe you will have better luck on the dates.
