Well, but if you said she wasn't very bright, she probably looks up to him even if he has adolescent whims or whatever.

In your case, I can imagine it's tough to lose someone who cares and was there for you. That's always nice to have.

Oh, God yes. Think southern belle type. Pretty, tiny, but knows better than to ever open her mouth against her man, or to make waves of any kind.

And me? Oh, I have a cat. And a vibrator. I'm good. :)

Screw that, JB! (Yeah, like I have to even tell you that.)

I was the northeastern version of that pathetic southern belle at one time.

Never again.

Never.

Hold out for the real deal. He's a shyt head.

Thanks, Touche!

He's a huge baby. I am still tempted to send him a pacifier. It's taking everything within me to NOT acknowledge this, but I won't give him the satisfaction.

I wish him and the Stepford Wife all the best...

Yep, take the high road, JB. Ten to one it won't last anyway.

I'm not one who believes in second chances. They pretty much all fail within 3 years anyway...been there, done that.

10 - 1 it won't last two weeks. I think once he realizes the tantrum didn't work, he'll do some major back peddling, and then I will get some drunk text.

 Wow! I swear it wouldn't surprise me at all. Men are so damn predictable.

They are. Too bad I have crossed over SOLIDLY into Bitterland, and I don't give a crap anymore.

I have animals I adore, access to unlimited internet porn, and I can handle most average maintenance in my home.

I'm DONE with men.

Bitter, bitter.

I want to add something.

Even though I said men are predictable and I've always been able to get what I want with them, I found one who is exceptional.

He's like the "good guy" and the "bad boy" wrapped up in one package. He knows exactly how to handle me. And I know how to handle him.

And yes, there's predictability there. That's not such a bad thing. Look for that.

Men can be predictable in a good way or in a bad way. Does that make sense?

Unfortunately, Baller was predictable in a very bad way.

Totally know! I lived with that guy for 5 years, and stupidly gave him up. Worst mistake of my whole life.

I gave Baller too much credit to NOT be a stereotype.

Eh, did I mention I also have great cable? ;)

You lived together for 5 years? Wow. I didn't know that. It doesn't change things though, does it? It's unfortunate.

JB, why do you say that you "stupidly" gave him up? Why do you second-guess yourself?

Talk to us.

Lots of women have great cable...doesn't mean a thing. Me? I have no cable. I moved on to satellite.

Oh no, Touche. TOTALLY different guy. I meant the one I lived with for 5 years knew how to handle me (like the one you mentioned). He was the love of my life, and I regret all the time that I gave him up.

Baller? He's a 275 pound child. I mean, I always knew he was pretty self-entitled, but that's to be expected to a degree with his job. This move is just beneath him. Who knew?

Oh, I meant satellite. Directv stuff. Love it. Just bought MLB extra innings, so I am now spending my evenings watching baseball. With the cat. And candy.

Bitter. Bit - ter.

That's a really good point Touche.

The odds are not good for this one. Agreed.

Very funny, on the Direct TV stuff! Love it. And the HD thing has been great.

So what happened to Five Year Guy? Is it too late? Why'd you let him go?

I know you're right. But now I'm interested in the "one that got away." Five Year Guy.

Totally! Loving my new Sony Bravia, too! Who needs a man!?

Yeah, too late for 5-year guy. That whole story is it's own thread, Touche. Lot of story, lot of history. But, still total soulmates.

I still feel very blessed I had that kind of love in my life, though. Even if it wasnt meant to last in this lifetime. :)

Ariadne - I never wanted a second chance with Baller BEFORE all of this nonsense. This just makes it impossible to even remain friends. Or for me to get SB tickets - lol.

Awww, hugs JB!

You deserve it all, dear.

There are so few men who can beat a Sonia Bravia with HD though (and don't forget the DVR!) .

Good luck!:p

It is a great TV, ya know. And yeah, got the DVR. ;)

Just hang in there. You have it going on. Screw the ones who lost out.

Don't become bitter. That's the kiss of death. It is.

It's never too late. It's not.

Remember you're always a goddess. Always.

No, I meant the second chance with the Southern Belle.

I mean, if it didn't work out before there must be a reason.

Oh, sorry. You mean for Baller and his (other) ex? Who knows.

Oh don't you daremake ANY kind of comment or gesture to this sad excuse of a man! That is just what he wants and the best way to deal with someone wanting attention is to IGNORE IGNORE IGNORE!

Let him swan around with his 2.8 mill and soppy little nodding girl ... You are the winner honey, after all it is YOU who has the Sony Bravia!! hahhahaha

Awwwwww it must be hurtful for you though, I can totally understand the bitter taste in your mouth.

Oh, don't worry, Lish. There are no excuses for him.

And I'll take the TV over him ANYDAY! Did I mention it's a 42"? ;)

Considering the taste of other things that have been left in my mouth, this one hardly rates... :D

LOL, no kidding! And if I wasn't a size queen, don't you think I would have gotten a smaller one that was more affordable? ;) I shall take your tip and never let them know about the TV while casually dating. :)

Pink - lol, no, that is not Baller. He may be a dick, but he plays very nicely with the team.
