Sarita12385 Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Due to my work schedule and other miscellaneous duties, I really don't have time for the gym anymore other than on the weekends, so my plan to lose some weight was not working out well. I just wanted to get rid of 10lbs and I'd be a happy camper. The majority of my family lives in Europe and they emailed me this "U.N. Diet". WOW. I lost 6 lbs, but then I got lazy and quit - but! I really wanted to share this with LS. Bare with me here, cause this "diet" is going to sound goofy, but it works. You don't count calories, you don't stop eating after 7pm. This diet schocks your body's metabolism and "restores it" so to speak. It's a 90-day diet. No weird foods, just weird combinations I guess you could say. Does it take a lot of effort? It did for me. I got lazy after the first 40 days, but it worked well up to that point. I look forward to hearing about the results Here's the meal plan: *The only thing that remains consistant is breakfast - FRUIT ONLY for your breakfasts. If the fruit isn't cutting down the hunger pain, add a bowl of cereal, but for 90 days, your breakfast needs to remain the same.* DAY 1 - Protein Day Lunch - Meat. Any kind, prepared any way (try not to overdo it on the fried meats); salad; soup broth (manditory); piece of bread Dinner - Same thing you had for lunch, just eliminate the bread and soup. Try cutting the portion size when you can. Day 2 - Starch Day Lunch - Potatoes, Rice, Beans (you can eat all 3, or just 1, whatever you prefer); salad; piece of bread Dinner - Same thing but smaller portion Day 3 - Carb Day Lunch - Pasta. Any kind, prepared any way you like. Salad is optional but not necessary. Dinner - Cake. That's right - cake. Either 1 generous piece, or 1 small piece with some ice cream on the side. Day 4 - Fruit Today is the hardest day (at least it was for me). You can eat from the minute you wake up until you go to bed, but you can only have fruit. ***Repeat this cycle for 90 days*** Note: When it comes to drinks, you have freedom of choice, just try not to take in too much liquid with tons of added sugars. Milk is ok, but not 5 times a day every day; Also, in-between snacks are aloud as long as they are smart choices such as fruits, vegies, or even granola bars. Helpful notes: If you want a filler-upper on fruit day, eat some almonds, apricots, dates, and plums. They are extremely filling and energize you.
