Ryan Posted August 17, 2003 Posted August 17, 2003 Sorry for the delay...I've been out of town. First, you have to realize that the magazine cover style of shredded six-packs on guys is not realistic. You're seeing a combination of genetic advantages touched up by lighting, pose, and digital editing. Don't get caught up in the mythos of being an ab maniac. That being said, one SHOULD strive for a healthy bodyfat level....which will bring about leanness throughout the body (including the midsection). You can't specifically remove bodyfat from your abs (or anywhere else for that matter). You must remove it systematically. The secondary aspect is proper strength training of the abdominal region, but that fits into an entire approach to systemic training as well. I think we may need to be a bit more specific in order to determine what your goals are....and if they are indeed worth pursuing.
