byebyebeautiful Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 To summarise, Messaged someone on a dating site a week or two ago, added each other to Msn shortly after and met last night. Was pretty cool, although she was *really* shy, got an (allbeit VERY brief) kiss at the end. She's indicated she'd be up for meeting again although has generally given no indication of what she's thinking (coyness to the extreme!). We've been having lots of long chats on IM (i have it on at work; she is at home having just graduated with not much to do!) and added each other to social networking sites etc but I'm wondering if this is perhaps a bit too much contact so soon? I don't wanna overdo it and become friendzoned... She left the country for 4 days on Tuesday so there will be definitely zero contact until she returns (thought about texting her but decided against). Three things I wonder if I'm reading a bit too much into are three unrelated statements she made.. First off, I told her "you have nice lips, btw" and she just replied "thank you i suppose" - not sure if she was just a bit taken aback by the direct compliment or this is bad bad news... Second, when I asked her if she'd be up for meeting again when she gets back from her trip she said "in all honesty, I'm surprised you didn't get an awful impression of me" - based on her shyness i'm guessing, but still a bit ambiguous, although she later said "that would be nice" The only compliment, or indication of any possible interest, I've gotten is an "I liked your piercing :)" Perhaps she's just interested in friendship and is too nice to blow me off completely (she told me she sent an apologetic email to a random guy who messaged her asking for a drink because she felt bad ignoring him)..... Thoughts? Ta muchly in advance
Suiyobi Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 As you said, maybe she has a shy personality so just take your time with her. Although I have to admit, her comment on you not getting an "awful impression" of her does make me wonder...
