McLovely Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 About the birth control: Try the NuvaRing http://www.nuvaring.com/Consumer/index.asp it is the same thing as the pill, but in a small, flexible little ring you leave in your va-jay-jay all month and you don't feel a darn thing and it doesn't fall out. It is more effective than the pill because it delivers a constant dose of the hormones, but it has less side effects because it is a lower dose because of it's constant delivery. You'll never forget to take it. I love it. I can't take the regular pill, even the low dose ones because of the side effects, but I have none with the NuvaRing. I use it in conjunction with the old trusty Today contraceptive sponge in monogamous relationships only. If cost is an issue, make an appointment with your local Planned Parenthood for a birth control consult. It's a cheap visit, and financial sliding scale is available. You can get a 6-month to one year prescription for the Nuvaring for less than $20/month if you buy it at their office, if my memory is right. Be safe!
