You can't tell if someone is clean or not. That's why you ALWAYS use a condom. How much has this been burned into our minds to do this? But I have been with one or two who don't want to use one and you have to remind them to get one. They usually relent and do it, but they turned out to not be trustworthy people to begin with. Honestly, if they had the opportunity and if there was no AIDS or STDs, I think most guys would never use them. We live in a world with AIDS and STDs, so I can't imagine how or why others will do this.

Nothing is 100% certain except abstinence, but I have never personally known anyone who got pregnant while taking the pill. Yeah, I've heard that too. I guess I'm overly paranoid I might be one of those freak rare cases where I would get knocked up while on BC...I have issues, I know I guess the best bet for me to do is consult my gyno and see what he suggests for me

Maybe you can get assistance through a family planning/birth control clinic? (Not sure if that's also just a Canadian thing, eh? ) Failing that, yes, you're both stuck with condoms for the moment. (I also used to add contraceptive spermicide...condoms ain't 100% for birth control.)

You might want to get yourself an IUD - usually insurance pays for all of it and it lasts for 10 yrs. Then, if you're that certain you never want kids, save your money for the snipping. Damn if I see paranoia. I see a woman who is being smart and proactive. Any sexually active woman should know that you can get pregnant from a man who pulls out - and any ijit does know that you can get knocked up by a guy who cums inside you. And the way most guys are nowadays, they would run from responsibility of a baby. And I am not even touching on the STD part. So - thank heavens for (ahem) paranoid women!

This may be a dumb question, but have you ever actually felt a penis without a condom inside of you before? I would imagine it would feel a lot better to you as well. I'd say (for me at least) it is almost not worth having sex if I have to use a condom (note the key word "almost" ). I haven't used them in the past, but I was in monogamous relationships, with one girl on BC and the other had her tubes tied. If you've both been tested, are clean, using BC, and trust that neither one is sleeping around, I don't see the big issue. Does he like cumming elsewhere (on you)? Maybe you could work out some sort of compromise with him. Find somewhere he likes.
