I was reading some more about relationships and breakups and came across something pretty cool that might help some of us put things in perspective.

1. When you think of yourself, who you are, what animal best represents you?

2. When you think about them what animal best represents who they are?

3. Now picture these two animals meet in a clearing for the first time. Let your imagination take over. How do you think they would interact with each other?

This will probably be biased as we probably all think our exs are wolves, or rats or whatever. Maybe ask who they were when you were in the relationship as well might be better.

I'd be curious what your results are.

1. I'm a big, social Labrador.

2. She's a chicken.

3. The chicken walks around crazily and clucks like a maniac while the Lab sniffs around curiously for a minute until he eventually gets freaked and hides in a corner.

lol... ok... i'll play along... i'm a horse... hobbling about because i lost my shoe...

he's a rat (quite literally, his chinese horsoscope says so... :D)...

nah... he's more of a darty little squirrel... you know, they (squirrels) never look like they know what they want, always hesitating... until they run across the street at the wrong time and become roadkill... oooo... that's a funny image... (my ex as flattened roadkill, that is... lol)

1. I am a wild cat, not your ordinary domesticated one.

2. She is a sloth (only because she didn't give enough in the R)

3. When we meet, I look at her and see she is not worthy of me and prowess!!! When I first met her, she seemed to be a beautiful cat herself. Time erodes everything.

I feel like this was talking to a therapist!!!!

I'm part cat, part wolf.

2. When you think about them what animal best represents who they are?

My ex-h is part snake, part wolf.

3. Now picture these two animals meet in a clearing for the first time. Let your imagination take over. How do you think they would interact with each other?

Well, at first the wolf parts got along great but then the snake part became evident to the cat part so I had to kill him.

Laying with my wife, so I asked her what she thought of us:

1. When you think of yourself, who you are, what animal best represents you?

She chose kitten .. fair enuf, she's like 3 feet tall and damn cute :p

2. When you think about them what animal best represents who they are?

She says a bear (I thought it sounded cool, too, but she said it was cuz I was big and cuddly and my ego lost it's boost)

3. Now picture these two animals meet in a clearing for the first time. Let your imagination take over. How do you think they would interact with each other?

She says the kitten beats up the bear. A fun visual. Also somewhat telling about her fantasies :p

I don't have anything much better than hers, so I'm leaving it. Just wanted to post a non-break-up answer.

1. A squirrel. (I look like one)

2. A peacock. (He could not not look into a mirror or shiny surface to check his hair when walking in the street.)

3. They would not know what to think of each other.

Fab question! Bear with me, my answers are a little odd.

Me

Combination of:

Dog: Cheerful, Devoted, Protective, Faithful

Wolf: Passionate, Bossy, Decisive, Emotional

Otter: Cute, Cautious

Him

Combination of:

Tiger: Hansome, Dynamic, Loner, Charming

Sheep: Conservative, Cautious, Supportive

Weasel: Mischievous, Flirtatious, Unreliable

How do you think they would interact with each other?

It would certainly be interesting. I think the wolf is a match for the tiger, enough strength on both sides (i'm slighly 'darker' I suppose, hence i'm the wolf). We could both hold our own if it came to it. I think a respectful truce could be reached.

I think the otter and weasel would have a fun time. Both are a bit flighty and could cause mischief, but the weasel displays more Machiavellian trendencies.

Sheep and dog could work (sheepdog thing). He's massively indecisive so needed help on occasion. The dog is protective of the sheep etc... but the sheep gives little back to the dog in terms of loyalty and protection. The dog has to take care of itself. The dog gets little back from this relationship.

This really made me laugh my ass off lady. I sincerely hope there aren't any murder news stories from across the pond.

Me: Soft, loveable Golden Retriever.

Him: Siamese Cat.

What happens: He thinks he's above me, looks down his nose at me. All the while I playfully wander around him wondering when things are gonna get happy and playful. Eventually he hisses and strikes out for no reason with his claws. I run away. Very fast.
