Is this anything like the bed races they always have in Olympia, WA, at Lakefair? There has to be a rider and a pusher - or 4 pushers for the bed races since the beds are so big. I'd be a good pusher. Been workin' out and have stamina to burn! :D I can just picture some big guy sittin' in a baby carriage with a binky in his mouth and a bonnet on. :lmao:

Yes, yes, each pram has pushers!! That's exactly it!!

NO FAIR! What are those of us without such a vehicle to do?!

I don't know...stomp off in a huff maybe?

I think this discussion has served its purpose.

Ok, I want in but I don't want LB to push me. She'll argue with me about how hard to push me, when she can stop and then she'll start millions of threads about it before she'll participate in the race.

I'm kidding, I'm kidding LB:laugh:

Look, I wouldn't want TBF either and everyone knows I'm crazy about her. She'll have us stuck at the start line while she begins making charts about wind speed and velocity and analyze the thing to death while everyone else approaches the finish line.

SG could be good for a pusher. She just goes for it full speed ahead!

Yes he did. We both did actually. And after his friends left yesterday we had a really great night talking about our weekends and getting "re aquainted." So it def. all worked out great!

I was only teasing...going by our approaches to life in general...not necessarily driving, silly.

Oh and remind me never to let you drive me anywhere...YIKES!

And are you going to have a night out with his friends and your friends too at some point? That might be a good way to break the ice and create a bit more of a group.

I know, me too! Some are throwing their "binkies" out of the strollers at each other to try to get them off track. Some dirty tactics going on here.

You know I know that. ;)

You're such a guy sometimes. I don't even know what the hell that is. But I think that's cheating. None of the other "prams" have engines (if that's what that is.)

Unfair advantage. You'll have to get your charts out and figure out the handicaps.

That's a good idea. It's hard because his friends live out of town so they aren't here on a regular basis. I did try to set one of his friends up with mine and it didn't work out too well. I'm sort of hesistant to try to integrate the two groups because of that.

My bf and I do go on double dates with other couples so we are trying to make friends together.

And then there are those that start, make a little progress down the track, and then wheel back to the start to start all over again...and again...and again...

Ooooo...water power! Unfair advantage relying on swift currents. Grrrr....darn those Phd'ers...

Who needs charts to figure out handicaps?

I think you might get disqualified for that. We don't use paddles around here. Well, maybe just one.
